This is a fantastic camera. It has multiple functions and appears daunting at first but the manual is easy to follow even though it takes a bit of reading. It takes great pictures and its zoom is amazing!I bought one of these for my husband and he was so immpresed we bought one for our daughter. It has a macro mode which gives incredible detail, and although at present the manual is refered to often, it is still a very immpressive camera. It is really easy to download pictures to PC, and having owned the smaller compact digital cameras prior to buying this one , it is so much better to use.

The Olympus c-720 Ultra Zoom D-C
Review created: 09/06/08(updated 16/07/08)

A very good camera, similar to the older & larger Olympus 35mil SLR auto with built in zoom I had for many years. Its very easy to use, all the controls in easy reach of ones thumb & index finger and thanks to Olympus's excellent lenses you get very clear true colour photos; proving its the size of the lens & not the amount of pixels that mater
The only draw back with it is the broken battery cover which would cost more than the cameras worth to replace so we make do with duck tape. This is the only reason why I'm giving it a Good & not an Excellent.
If your thinking about getting a D-C then an Olympus C-720 in good condition at around £30-£40 would be well worth it

DON'T DISMISS THE OLD - YOU MAY BE SUPRISED !
Review created: 31/01/08

This is a lovely little camera - for a 2002 product it oozes quality and practical features. It feels good in the hand ( maybe slightly on the chunky side for some, but that never did me any harm ), and the 8x zoom lens is very nice, both sharp and good colours. I paid less than 20 quid for mine, and it now sits nicely in ' can't be bothered to hump around the slr' backpack for days out and the like.
Don't dismiss the old - 3 mp resolution is plenty for little prints, and look fine on Windows slideshows - what more could you want for £20 ??

  Olympus Camera. Camedia C-720 Ultra-Zoom.

Browsing "Cameras" on e-bay recently I came across this camera which had a much better spec than the the little NIKON I was currently using, and which I intended to give to my daughter. I was particularly interested in the 8x zoom -but I've not had time yet to test the resolution at full stretch. I was lucky enough to find and win a leather case on e-bay also, and this was a bargain, as was the camera. I am looking forward to getting to grips with it and testing it to the full. One slight drawback is its bulk, which shows its age, but it should be a very useful tool bought at a very reasonable price.
