Hello,

My first experience of Digital was when work decided that all employees of my grade should have a camera. 90 of these c3-10's turned up!!

I was snowed under at the time so took my box home, it was Friday night! I sat down had a read and decided at the best way to get to use it was have a go. I already had re-chargables.

This little camera turned out to be just great. Simple to use, easy to down load, and good quality pictures at A4 size. Took it on family holiday, brilliant!!

When the Seven year old said can I have a Camera I had no hesitation in looking at one of these -

Shutter lag is anoying as is battery consumption - But don't let that put you off, this is a good buy and a sound little piece of kit

as my son was going on his first school trip, we decided to get him a digital camera so as he could take pictures to remember the trip.... We seen alot of cameras online and none stood out as good enough or they were too expensive for a 10 year old (any parent knows how some 10 year olds are with anything that even moves lol)... But this camera stood out as cheap and good enough for a first time camera.... all we have to wait for is the finished result...

Olympus C-310 Digital Camera Bought on Ebay 4/5*

I have just bought three of these cameras for my kids to use. The initial road test has been good. It is extremely easy to use, includes a flash and has the good old fashioned view finder, so no problems in bright light with a screen (it has one of these too). It sports a 3X optical zoom plus digital zoom and auto focus. It will work with high capacity XD cards too.
The results have been surprisingly good, as I use a Canon 20D with a 17-40mm L series most of the time so I have high expectations.
For around twenty quid, usually with an XD card and often a case, you also get a camera using universal AA batteries so it is cheap to run. look no further for a top value point and shoot on a budget.
I have had no problems with any of these three cameras, as all work perfectly.

  OLYMPUS CAMERA

I needed a good camera and ebay is the best place to buy - I already own an older Olympus and this has served me well.
The service from the seller was bang on with immediate delivery.
Another good ebay encounter.

  Decent camera but slow

I bought one of these cameras second hand for travelling, it was good value for money and has some nice additional features like a slow shutter speed to create some cool effects. It also fits nicely in to the pocket of jeans of shorts.

I agree with the comments made on the last review. You don't need any more mega pixels than this unless you want to print out a poster. I much prefer something that takes AA batteries too because I can have a spare set charged up and ready to go when I need them.

There are two bad points. Firstly, you need rechargeables, because battery life on normal AAs is poor. Secondly, this camera is slow as hell and I mean really slow. Even at full charge you can wait maybe 4-5 seconds from when you turn it on for it be ready to shoot. As the battery begins to die it gets even slower and you can be waiting and additonal 3 or 4 seconds from when you press the button to when the camera takes the picture. It's not great if you want to catch something that happens very quickly.

Don't be totally point off by this though, it's great value and so simple to use. I often find that with a more expensive and complicated camera you can't trust someone else to take a photo with it because a) You're scared they might steal it and b) You need to tell them what setting to put it on and they never get it right anyway.

Trusty digital camera for more than just snaps

Top quality images, tremendous lens, simple to use and great easy to use Olympus software. Take my advice, at least one of your digital cameras should run on AA batteries. Rechargable AA batteries may seem old hat, but when they run flat on holiday - miles from a charger you can buy cheap readily available AA's to get you back clicking again until you get back home. Also, 3 mega pixels is more than adequate for 6x4 or even A4 prints. Dont clog up your hard drive with vast pictures you will never need to print as posters. Thisis a great and trusty camera.
