Old School (DVD 2003)

An all round feel good movie with hilarious entertainment.

Starring Luke Wilson, Will Ferrell and Vince Vaughn.

After his relationship breakup Mitch (Wilson) find a new home just off the college campus and strives to settle his mind and spirit after the shocking circumstances that led to his split from his girlfriend Heidi (Juliette Lewis).

After seeing the new place his best friends Frank "the Tank" (Ferrel) and Bernard "Beanie" (Vaughn) decide it's SO close to campus it's practically ON campus, so throw a HUGE house warming party and set the scene for many more...

However it backfires when the college Dean Pritchard (Jeremy Piven), an old enemy of theirs, turns up the next morning to ruin their fun. The house is being re-zoned as academic use only so Mitch must move out. That's the outset of an outrageous plot which see's the boys establish their own college fraternity in order to meet the academic requirement of the lease.

The Dean exercises his frustration by using every loophole he can to stop them resulting in the guys having to sit academic tests at the college. All sorts of happenings occur but rest assured of a happy ending, complete with Mitch getting the love interest girl and handing the new fraternity over to the pledges and Hank.

Old School has it ALL! from the very start it is comedy heaven.

Old School has GOT to be one of the funniest film EVER made! it's quirky one linners, hilarious scenes and incredibly stupid stunts are all part of what makes this film one HELL of a ride.

if you ARE a fan of will ferrel, ben stiller, owen wilson films then this IS a film to watch! and you WON'T be disapointed!

p.s WATCH IT WITH SCHOOL/UNI MATES!!! (you enjoy the comedic value more, hence the old school title)

This is a very funny film which reminds me of the great National Lampoon's Animal House although not as good it does make the younger generation aware that good college films exist

I liked Will Farrell in Saturday Night Live and "Elf" so when a friend of my recommended this film as being hilarious, I decided to buy it.

I have a pretty good sense of humor, but this movie was really bad. There were moments where I smirked in amusement, but I didn't let out a laugh at any point. I think the movie may be better suited to "college types" where life tends to be one big party.

I do however think that Will Farrell was good in the part that he played. He has a talent for adapting his personality and body language to suit the part.

This is a really good film and had me in stitches all the way through, so its well worth the purchase. I really cant recommend this enough, a full 5/5 from me, great comedy.

As soon as i noticed Todd Philips was directing I knew I had to see it, so I rented it out after realising I was too late at the cinema's. I was right. This was and still is...a classic comedy gem not to be forgotten. Vince Vaughn, Luke Wilson and Will Ferrell are the bombs, it is such an amazing, funny, hysterical movie. The gags are rememberable for being too crude and dirty alongside plain GODAMM HILARIOUS!!!

it was a gift for my son, I never watched it but he said it was excellent, he enjoyed watching it with his uncle, both say it is a good story line and excellent actors in it the comedy was really good

A rarity these days: a comedy with a decent number of laughs.

Luke Wilson, Will Ferrell, and Vince Vaughn are thirty-something guys with ordinary lives who decide to start their own fraternity so they can re-experience their college days. Of course, all they really want is a good time; although some of their group are genuine students, some have obviously been out of school for a LONG time!

Good and raunchy without being overtly outrageous, this comedy actually made me laugh. It really, really did. Although reminiscent of "National Lampoon's Animal House" to a degree, it doesn't feel like a ripoff but a pleasant homage. High marks for the amiable comic cast, especially the always funny Will Ferrell.

A good sophomore effort for Todd Phillips, whose first fiction film was "Road Trip." One of the stars of that film, Seann William "Stifler" Scott, has a cameo here. And late night talk show host Craig Kilborn is very appropriately cast as a smug, smarmy womanizer.

Better than other comedies I've seen lately. I gave it seven out of ten.

Decided to buy this item as wanted to see it. didn't get to as couldn't pay for it (every which way tried) so never got the goods.
