The Office - Series 2 (DVD 2003)

After having seen series one, which was brilliant, I tried series two. Generally second series can be disappointing, but in my opinion, this is one of the rare cases where the second series is even better than the first and it is honestly one of the funniest, wittiest comedies I have seen. I also recommend Ricky Gervais' stand up, which is also brilliantly hilarious.

Two words - absloutely brilliant, and another two - classic comedy. Ricky Gervais as David Brent produces a character that anyone who has ever worked in an office can recognise.
That most of the main cast members have gone on to bigger things just sums it up.

Cringeworthy but very good viewing. You almost feel sorry for David Brent. there is a good love story happening with Tim and Dawn your always kept in suspence watch and you will enjoy!!

I guess only people who really liked the tv series will buy the dvd, i only got in to the office after the series came off the beeb, so the dvd is all new to me. very subtle comedy, there is probably at least one person in every workplace that match's a character from "the office" , its like watching a work colleague making a right a*se of themselfs repeatedly and them not twigging
that everyone else finds them so embarring

i lost my copy of the dvd!!so i bought another!!im a big fan of classic comedy so this will light up a rainy boring day!!

David Brent and his team return to work for the second series of 'the office'.
Tim's got a promotion, Swindon's branch have moved in, and Brent's got a new boss.
The 'entertainer' that is David Brent, finds himself competing for popularity with his new boss and sets off to impress the new recruits with his comic mastery. Unfortunately David's unique style of comedy has some of his new work mates a little offended to say the least.
If you liked the first series you will love this just as much. Genius

Yet again Jervais has managed to capture those awkward moments we tend to have in real life, and weave them into a situation comedy. The only comedy show I've seen that is funnier is - EXTRAS.

The series is fantastic and this second series is even better than the first in my opinion. I have seen it so many times and i never get tired of it. Brent is Fantastically 'cringe worthy'!

If you love Ricky Gervais you'll love this..and even if you don't particularly like him, because its funny for anyone.

With the Office you either love it of hate it!

If you don't get it - then don't watch it because it will be wasted on you!

I would recommend you catch an individual episode before buying a series incase you don't like it!

You either like or hate this type of humour, I loved it and so did my 15 year old son. It is a spoof fly on the wall documentary comedy (sound wierd you soon get in to it)with so many different characters that are all funny in there own unique way.
You follow boss David Brent who is always trying to impress both his workforce and the documentary cameras and failing which is hysterical. Then there is Tim who is in love with Dawn but cant have her, keith who is deadpan and monotone,Gareth who takes his job a bit too seriously and is forever being wound up by Tim and Dawn. Watch it for a real slice of office action, hope you love it like we did.

The Office series 2 continues the fly-on-the-wall documentary style comedy insight, into the daily grind of the staff at Wernham Hogg. Its probably best described as a bit like marmite, youll either love it or hate it, suffice to say, I love it.

The main characters are superbly played by Ricky Gervais (David Brent), Martin Freeman (Tim Canterbury), McKenzie Crook (Gareth Keenan) and Lucy Davis (Dawn Tinsley). This series sees the merger of the Swindon branch into the Slough office of Wernham Hogg, which brings the arrival of Brents new boss, Neil Godwin, played by Patrick Baladi. Brent is completely unimpressed by his new bosses approach to management and his popularity with some of the staff, leading to a clash of personalities, which in turn provides us with some classic comedy moments topped off with the infamous Red Nose Day dance routine in episode 5.

Series 2 consists of 6 episodes commencing with the branch merger and culminating with Brents redundancy. Superb comedy Enjoy!

Fantastic DVD Very Funny Well Worth Buying! Documentary Style Sitcom. Ricky Gervais is a legend, what more can I say ... Fantastic!!!

Series two of the office carries on nicely from where the first left off, but is by no means making the mistake of making the same jokes again.

The situation is slightly different for everyone involved and the series pans out in a more negative way while still delivering awkward laugh after awkward laugh!

Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant are the masters of observation. Brilliantly written, produced and acted a modern classic with amazing detail. The silences often say more than the words. I have watched it many times and still cringe and laugh at the same time. you will love the office even when you have to watch it through your fingers. FANTASTIC.

i already had series 1 and was looking for series 2. i found it on ebay and put in a bid. it is an excellent show, sometimes to funny to laugh,(tears ran dry), im so glad i bought it, ive watched it so much now i probably know it word for word.
