4 men 8 arms
I first bought this album on vinyl when it was originally released and still get pleasure from listening to it. I was drawn to the cover art, particularly the coy and somewhat shy expression on the face of the green woman with tentacled arms. If you are really into late 60s pop with a Beatles influence you may like the tracks on the original album and some of the extras. What I found most exciting were the Octopus live tracks of "I am the Walrus" and "Hall of the Mountain King". The former because it is an excellent cover and the latter because it shows what a four piece was capable of live without lots of gimmickry.
Well crafted and strong pop songs with some interesting extras I think this is a good collection to buy. However, if you are taken with the sleeve get a vinyl version to appreciate it properly.
