Oasis - Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants (CD 2000)

This is a good album!!! The other gut thats rated this album has got his head up his own bum! its not one of there best, infact its probably there worst but oasis's worst album is far better than the majority of bands best albums!
Best tracks - Go let it out, gas panic , little james.

A little something different from Oasis. Most tracks are very unlike the usual Oasis style, but dont worrie, its still top class music that I am sure the true oasis fan will enjoy.

This oasis release was oasis's 4th album, with this particular item the two disc American release. The first disc contains the same tracks as the uk version and is exactly like the uk version except that there are x's to hide the expletive on the first track name. The second disc contains the song go let it out and the excellent let's all make believe. This song is worth having and is only found elsewhere on the go let it out uk single. A Excellent two disc album which for under £10 is a good purchase for oasis collectors.

Well what can i say Oasis have there own sound. Always have always will. I bought this album as i have got the rest of the Oasis collection.
If you are a big Oasis fan then its a must have album. Certain people did slate this album when it came out but its still Oasis and they are still one of the best bands on the planet. (",)

Highly under rated album at the time of it's release.
The critics realy didn't get it.
That difficult second album ?
Decide for yourself - it's certianly different from the album that launched Oasis - that't not a bad thing - unless, of course, you're a sheep.

well i love it because its oasis and they r brilliant however this is in my opinion by far their weekest work. if u r an oasis fan its a must for your collection however if u just wanna try out some oasis u would be better of puchasing definatly maybe, whats the story morning glory of heathern chemistry. as these are far superiour.

Not amazing, not mind blowing, it is simply Oasis doing what they do. What do they do? Write simple, catchy rock n roll tunes and Standing on the shoulders is no exception, a fine album with some fine tunes on it, all Oasis fans will have this album anyway but if you have not Get It!!

I have to say this is oasis worst album i think they were just doing this album for the sake of doing it and i think all though their is alot of good tunes on it most songs are just songs to make the album up (in other words alot of b side quality tunes) a must for any oasis fan or new fan as it is alot different to the previous albums mainly because this was the first album they released on their own record label after breaking from creation it was a learning experience for the lads but resulted in an average album for a world class band

Not Oasis' best but some fine tracks particularly on the second half of the album - Gas Panic, Where did it all go wrong, Sunday morning call and Roll it over being the highlights. Quite a grown-up album and also a little psychadelic, held together by strong songwriting and some great vocals.

Very underated album. Mostly well written and starts off with a bang with set-list opener "Fuckin in the Bushes". Full on Rock n Roll.
Some quality tracks with album highlights "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is, Gas Panic, Sunday Morning Call and Where did it all go Wrong" highlighting superbly the talents of the greatest song writer of the modern generation - Noel Gallagher.

Not much needs to be said when it comes to "Oasis". They are the greatest band in the world.
But you already knew that anyway.

I didn't buy this album when it first came out and I wasn't sure why. Buying it this time I now know. This is not a good album and only recommended for die hard Oasis nuts. Nothing worse than this has ever been released by them.
