I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry (DVD)

Having converted most of my old video collection to DVD I was thrilled to find this film gem in digital format. If you watch this in widescreen format, it really does the battle scene great justice; coupled with surround sound, you'll be gripped by the amazing cinematography. I would recommend the director's cut that includes scenes about the relationship between the lead character and his estranged wife and helps you to understand the motivation behind his decision. The run time is 183 minutes for the directors cut and 120 minutes for the cinema version. I was, however, disappointed by the lack of extras, which any fan of this classic would expect to be included. There's only a 20-minute interview with the director and other shot "making-of" vignettes

Enjoyable, sharply written and frequently hilarious, this is Adam Sandler's best comedy since The Wedding Singer.



This movie with Adam Sandler and Kevin James! They are hilarious together. Kevin plays Larry Valentine, and Adam plays Chuck Levine. Larry is a Firefighter who's wife died. Since he is distracted by his wife's passing, he hasn't changed the primary beneficiary of his pension from his wife to his children. The only way to do that is to get married. Larry sees an article about same-sex domestic partnership, and decides to have Chuck be is 'partner' Even though they are both straight, they have to go to Canada to get married.

Soon, a specialist is sent to investigate to see if they really are gay, or just trying to cheat the system. Chuck and Larry receive help from Alex McDonough, played by the beautiful Jessica Biel.
While attending a gay costume benefit party, an anti-gay rights group come by and bash them for being gay.
Chuck gets in a fight for being called a faggot. Even the guys at the Fire Department don't want them around. Later, they must go to court to prove that they are gay.
This has got to be the funniest movie I have seen in a long time.but Vhing Rhames had me in stitches. A must see.

One of adam sandlers funniest have seen it about 7 times and still make me laugh great well worth watching great entertainment

My mate told me this film was really funny, so i decided to spend a couple of quid on a copy of it off ebay.
Its well worth every penny, there was some really really funny bits in this film which made the whole family laugh for hours afterwards.

Great comedy for the family (some choice moments though), readily available at a snip of a price on ebay.

Absolutely superb comedy. I have never laughed so much in ages. My partner dislikes Adam Sandler as and actor, however having watched this her mind has changed. Don't think about buying this one, BUY IT!

these 2 are always gd and if you like there other films ur like this, seen it a quite a few times and still makes me laugh, def worth getting.

i brought this as a gift for my husband and we watched it with our children, not particulary liking comedies myself,i wasnt expecting much but for the first time in a long while i found myself really laughing at this.we have watched it twice more since, each time finding more funny bits that we originally missed. it took a little while to get started but listen to some of the 1 liners and you too will be laughing.it is refenced certificate 15 but my children were 15 and 13 and apart from semi naked women there wasnt much to worry about,nothing they dont see in everyday tv. worth a watch!

Childish humour and gay stereotypes - OK for a night in but it could have been so, so much better. The premise of the story, two straight guys getting 'married' to protect the pension of one of them, a widower with two children, is interesting and ripe for laughs. Even star Adam Sandler though couldn't rise this film above low-rate comedy.

I love Adam Sandler and this film is excellent. The high standard of comedy is maintained throughout the film. Although it is extremely funny it does have a serious message.

The deleted scenes are worth a look!!

Very funny story about two best friends who end up doing the ridiculous to ensure a stable future for Larry's two kids. It was light entertainment and despite it's comedy factor did actually highlight predjucies that gay people may come up against.

If you like Adam Sandler then you love this! I found this film hilarious. The storyline is based around 2 fireman who pretend to be gay - Adam Sandler plays the fireman who is forced into the arrangement in order to help out his best friend who has struggled since his wife passed away. The firemen have to go through so much in order to prove their fake gay relationship, there is never a dull moment - funny right to the end! Well worth a watch.

i decided to buy the dvd after seeing it at the cinema, and a wise choice it was.

dvd is filled with extra's - the normal out-takes and commentary, but this adds to the movies longevity.

overall a funny movie, as most sandler ones are..

i really like adam sandler and this is a MUST HAVE for ANY adam sandler fan, i purchased this as it is the latest film and is over £14 to buy in stores so it was a really really good price!!!!!! A+++++

I love Adam Sandler and this is one of his best, I really did not think he could beat happy gilmore or fifty first dates but this did it for me. I have had to watch it a few times as i keep laughing thourgh the punch lines. I bought this because my 3 sons and thier friends went to see it at the pictures and came home full of how funny it was.

i watched this film a few nights ago and thought it was great the way that both actors take on the role is amazing i could watch it over and over. i love both actors anyway but think is one of their best yet.

I rented this film the other day and i have to say, this is most definitely one of sandlers finest moments, if not the finest. It really showcases what a fine comic actor he is, and coupled with a stellar performance from Kevin James and a fantastic bit part from Ving Rhames, this is undoubtly one of the best films of 2007. Well woth the full five stars!
