Nokia N95 Mobile Phone

Dislikes - Crashed once so far, and ... not found another one yet!

Like most people, i waited and waited eagerly for the new Nokia N95. Then on Tuesday morning i received mine. I ripped of the packaging and there it was. A brand new, the eagerly awaited Nokia N95.
Opening the box, the phone sits in a plastic case (nice touch) in all it's glory. Out with the phone, in with the battery and sim card and plugged it in with the neat little Nokia charger.
Flicking briefly thru the many manuals you receive with the phone, you can just tell this phone is going to give you hours upon hours of fun and enjoyment, as well as phone calls of course.
Ok, battery fully charged, time to switch on. As with most Nokia's your greeted with the joining of hands, however this time the clarity is amazing on its larger screen.
Opening the effertless two way slider downwards, gives you the numeric keypad like previous slide phones, however, sliding it upwards opens the gallery and presents you with play, pause, forward and rewind buttons, nice neat touch that.
Time to go and investigate what is on the phone. Well, the first item i wanted to try was the Sat Nav. One the screen you are presented with a map of the world as the phone tries to work out where you are. It takes on average a minute to find at least 3 sattelites to pin point your position. The world then moved slighty and then started to zoom in. Europe, United Kingdom, Scotland, Edinburgh, then within seconds it was at street level showing me exactly where i am. And i mean exactly, it even told me my house number!
What i would advise you to do is invest in a decent Micro SD card, so you can download maps on to it, as the way i have just described, you are actually downloading a massive amount of data, therefore costing lots of pennies.
What now i thought to myself, as i wandered thru the rest of the menus, you just know that this is a good phone, there is no pausing switching between menus, the keypad is precise, and the screen lets you read everything with the clarity you would expect on a TFT monitor!
Turning the phone round you see the cover for the camera, now it's time for some serious fun, opening the slider presents you with a 5 million pixel camera. As with my previous phone, the N80, you use the phone in landscape mode just like a proper camera. Moving round my living room, the screen was managing to keep up with every move i made, auto focusing when neccessary. Unfortunately, there is no optical zoom, just 20x digital zoom, so there is a slight loss in quality the further you zoom. With the pressing of a couple of buttons your into video mode. Once again it was able to keep up with most of my movements around the room. At this time i noticed, still sitting in the box was another cable, with yellow, red and white ends and a jack plug on the other, quick plug in to the phone and into the tv, i had myself the ultimate show of gadget. By this time the kids were up and jumping and dancing whilst watching themselves on the TV. Time to sell the digital camera and camcorder now, can't say i'll use them again!
The phone also comes with a host of other smart features which i would love to go into more detail with, but i'm going to run of space, so i covered the main items that you want to know about, and if you are, like me, after a phone with lots of other gadgets and useful toys, this year's smart buy is the new Nokia N95.

I think Nokia mobile phones are the best of the phones.it's my second nokia phone.becouse i like listening mp3 and this phone have very good mp3 player.

the phone charger can be a bit dodgey unless your are extremly unlucky like myself :)

Ive had this phone for a few weeks now as a replacement for my MDA PDA device.
I was looking for a device with HSDPA, 3G, WIFI, built in GPS, slide out keyboard with touch screen and a faster processor than in the MDA.

Unfortunately the devices fitting this bill were well out of my budget so a compromise was required. I decided the slide out keyboard and touch screen were nice features but not essential.

Reading the phone reviews this one won hands down.
The phone is simple to use with fast data connection via HSDPA, 3G and WIFI. the WIFI is the easiest to set up on any device ive used so far so bonus points there.
It takes a bit of getting used to the standard phone keyboard for texting etc after a qwerty keyboard.
there seems plenty of stuff to keep me entertained and i havent used half of it yet.
The kids love the fact that it can connect to the TV. Im sure the addition of a wireless keyboard will make it gr8 for the internet.

Downside is the MP3 player isnt as easy to use as the sony erricsons ive had in the past and browsing th enet is a pain without a keyboard.

I must really read the manual to get the best out of it.
Overall i am prety impressed with the phone, which is a good compromise for my requirements.

well worth considering if your up for a new phone.

Pros: Good camera with autofocus, gps, wi-fi, big screen, support up to 8gb memory card, good stereo speakers, plays music through headset very well.

Cons:Low battery life, clatting slide, sometimes hard to find satellites.

This is a superb Phone from Nokia. With wi-fi, a fabulous camera and 8gb of memory to store my favourite tunes on.

This is an excellent phone and I am still learning all about it. The camera is first class. Battery life is a bit shorter than my last phone but it is capable of a lot more functions.

Came in good condition and was a quick delivery. Would do business with this ebayer again. Came at a good price, especially for the retail price of the phone and as it came in a like new condition.

the battery charging doesnt last for very long, so it needs to be charged. i loved the camera of the phone esp the slide view of the camera its fabulous. The phone looks so dashing...............smart.............and lovely

great features, as with all nokia phones is easy to use. excellent memory size. clear crisp photo's fantastic quality. battery life excellent for a phone with this many features.

The site of entery of the head phone is inappropriate projecting of the side of the unite it should come out of the top.

I have grown to like the N95 with all its querks. It works fine with tomtom and the internal gps receiver using the gpsd software. I am able to access my media files from my pc and play them on the phone or the pc using its home network software. The themes are numerous and change not only the appearance of the phone but the menu layouts as well which make the phone more interesting. The new updated software now allows for the screen to switch to landscape mode when you tilt the phone, another usefull feature.
The only problem with this phone is its a bit too delicate with the screen breaking very easily and dropping it may spell very bad news unlike other phones.

The item was sent out without the necessary attachments and a very old and used battery. The battery was so old and used that I had to replace it. I feel I was deceived and Will not use E Bay for such purchases. I recommend that the membership of the seller be cancelled for the dception and loss caused.

I love this phone, you can do so much with it, I've only had it freeze once and that was easy tix just take the battery out and then switch it back on again.

The photo's it takes are great and just all the features on it are great, I've had the LG veiwty and the carbon LG which will be going up for sale soon(watch my sellers page and grab a bargin, don't get me wrong it's a good phone) but I prefer the N95 I have an 8meg mem card in it and it's not even started as the phone has such a good internal mem. You can decide where you want to save items, they are not just stored in folders that you will never find.

I really like this and can find no fault with it at all, it is easy to use and so are the menus and adding music is childs play and so is playing it.

So all in all, I am wondering when my contract to go with the new G1 google phone as an upgrade and hold on to the N95, just incase I don't like the G1, but that won't really matter as I won't have to send the N95 back or do any deals as it's mine as I bought from here, so I could switch between the 2 as my mood takes me.

I also love the colour mine is plum and silver and it has a screen protector as it's carried in my pocket most of the time along with my car keys and I also have a bodyglove case, which fits great. I also have downloaded 6 games to the phone which incl sonicand as I've said I'm not even half way through the phones internal mem, yet.

So if your looking for an all singing all dancing phone go for the N95 any model you can always put a bigger mem card in for storage.

Excelent phone the best on the market worth the money. Built in Sat Nav, 8Gb internal memory the best camera on a mobile phone Ive ever seen. The phone isd bulky however tohave so many features packed in it has to be. the only negative aspect is that it isnt touch screen.

what l like about this seller is telling you what you are going to get, at least you know what you are paying for and there are no surprises. I would trust this seller in future.
