Every now and then a product comes along that promises to revolutionise the market.
The N95 is such a beast, combining satellite navigation, a cutting-edge 5-megapixel camera, a media player and PDA functions in a handset that somehow isn't the size of a brick.
Nokia knows how to put a phone together. Pick up the N95 and you simply won't believe that so much technology has been squeezed into such a light, palm-friendly device.
Nokia has embraced a two-way sliding design that lets you push the screen up and let your fingers roam over a nicely textured keypad, or slide it down to reveal a fashionably touch-sensitive suite of media-player controls.
In the realms of pure portability and ease of communication, the N95 is in a league of its own. It represents the very pinnacle of technological miniaturisation, without sacrificing usability, flexibility or style.
The Nokia N95 is still an amazing phone. It is really nice to have a phone that just works - having tried a Windows Mobile PDA that crashed once a day and drained battery I much prefer the N95 despite its smaller, non-touch screen (The only significant drawback when compared to others on the market).
The GPS work well after the initial set up and the WIFI connection lets you save money not downloading everything over your network provider - and also lets you do Voip calls as well!
It also simply pluged into my computer via a standard camera USB cable and a cable supplied pluged into the TV and let me view high quality pictures on it! Also am impressed with sound quality from a mobile phone.
I've only scratched the surface (not literally) of this intriguing phone, however I do have a serious warning for any prospective buyer - it is an absolute BUGGER to unlock, especially if you live outside London. Apparently it is possible, though difficult, to code-unlock it but this is fraught with problems - if your phone runs out of battery power it will reset itself and re-lock itself. You have to get it hard-unlocked which involves someone doing something physical to bypass something or other (don't ask me what). I wonder if this affects the warranty - probably. I spent over a week investigating various offers to get it unlocked, they nearly all involved sending it away and the prices varied between £22 + postage each way to £30 all-in. Basically, if anyone offers to do it for £15 while you wait they're probably only offering a code-unlock and that's no good. If you buy a locked phone expect to have to spend another £30 and be without it for up to a week.
just perfect phone - I was waiting for something like this for the ages :) has anything what phone must have, actually I'm not using it as a mp3 player due my iPod which is only for music, but camera is great, phone as a mobile is great - just the perfect phone :)

The state of the phone is indeed excellent, as written. All the accesories were included and seem hardly used if ever.Im very satistied with the purchase and delivery.Phone itself is gorgeous and posses incredible amount of features. For me it truly was a bargain.
I got the Nokia n95 8GB after using Sony Ericsson W810i for about a year and then (just before the Nokia) I had Nokia e65 shortly. I must say I am very happy with this Nokia n95 8GB: 8gig space, fabulous quality of sound (nice stereo speakers), 5 megapixel camera! I am really enjoying all of it! The phone is reasonably bigger from these ones I've used before, but I've got myself a belt holster for it and now doesn't bother me in a pocket. Well I only miss the nice shape of Nokia e65's keyboard and lazurite (greenish blue) colour when keyboard's highlighted - N95's keyboard is quite simple shaped I think and it highlights in white - well, but that's cosmetics only! The phone's great! +++AAAAA+++
phone came well packed works well very satisfied.and it had some dints but other than that nothing to worry about thanks to the seller thank you recomend to any one how buys of this seller many thanks again.
I think from the title you might gather a bit...That I just love this phone These phones are awesome Camera is perfection you wont need to carry a camera & a phone if you go on hols trust me....I use mine now for all my ebay picture The video quality is as good as a lot of cheap digital cameras if not better to be honest The MP3/4 player is exceptional quality as well Signal when it is in its dual mode setting especially is just mind blowing...BUT be warned it eats the battery so only use that toy in areas of BAD reception.. turn it on with no bars on your phone & watch it get a signal BRILL....The Life blog is a must it holds store & reviews what you have done every day...handy I tell you there are toys & gizmos galore including a ring tone swirly spready sorta sound thingy which you will find eventually hidden oh somewhere....wanna impress your mates in the pub..I got a Scottish pipe band marching around a parade ground on mine.....you would think they were in the room its loud enough & it sorta stereo widens & throws the sound HOW such tiny speakers do that is mind blowin....Put it this way you will NEVER miss a phone call by saying you ain't heard the ring tone loudest phone in the world if you want it.... I could go on & on BUT just buy one....only tiny problem can be battery life BUT heck do what I have buy a couple of spare batteries takes two seconds to add another & my mates have got used to me saying S**T batteries gone I will ring you back
First of all I decided to buy the phone because I bought it for a friend back home who is in love with the Nokia N95 8gb internal version. I personally like the phone as well coz it's got so many nice features that other mobile hones do not have. I will never buy this phone for myself because it's too bulky. My friend loves this phone and everybody loves this phone. And yes it is a great phon to have,a must have in today's world. The phone itself is in a good condition despite some scratches/marks on the screen, 1 of them looks major and the top right corner is badly bruised but none of these affect the working of the phone. Mobile phone sellers should always describe their phone properly esp. if there's any problem with the phone. Overall this phone is good.
the item came well packaged everything was intact and i was extreamly pleased. Before hand i contacted the selled to find more out about the phone/ p&p.. The seller was nice enough to send the phone via special delivery, rather than the standard postage, for no extra cost which i was extreamly pleased with. comunication with the seller was 5 star! even after the phone had came i was left message asking me if everything was ok and that it had arrived safely without any damaged.
What a grwat phone and perfect upgrade from the N95. Sleeker and faster. A must upgrade. : ).........................................................................................................................................
I have had my N95 (black 8gb version) now for just about 3 months and i haven’t had any problems with it at all.
I owned a N80 when they first came out and i was unimpressed with the battery life. I thought the N90 was going to compare with that battery life, but it by far is the winner with a decent couple of days charged up battery life. (I use the camera on occasion and use WAP a few times a day)
Mobile internet is a great thing on long journeys, this phone can load in mobile HTML but some websites have a great mobile layout which is excellent. A way to get information and check emails on the move. A great feature.
The camera is great, indoors with the flash is excellent and outdoors also performs well. The only time I have problems is when it is VERY sunny and it sometimes over exposes. But this is a rare occurrence.
8gb is by far enough for storing images, music and anything else you want to store on the phone. I like to rotate the music that I put on there so I don’t end up listening to the same things over and over.
The volume on the phone is good, I have had phones in the past with quiet speaker levels and I find that this phone has a good volume level and very clear calls.
The slide on the phone works well; it doesn’t slide down in a call and feels strong when clicked up or down.
This mobile has lots of functions which are just excellent. I would recommend this handset to anyone who wants a phone that can handle lots of tasks.
One of Nokias most excellent mobile phones. 96/100 %
this phone is the best on the market and cant imagine life without it. there are so many things that you can do with it its unreal. i have no longer got to buy an mp3 player, sat nav or mp4. what a bargain
Undoubtly Nokia N95 is one of the best phone around. It is also amazing as a PDA. The 5 MP integrated camera is almost as good as my digital camera. Sound quality is better than most mp3 players. The GPS function is a big let down. And the software is also a bit slowish. But overall a great phone.
i bought it because i needed one for my older brother and i needed it on the few days after purchsing the product. but the person did not send it untill 25 days later when i opened a dispute he dicided to send it and was not working , there was no sound and it had some other problems like it was not receiving reception and takes too long to make a phone call. i was really disapointed from some people in ebay .
What can i say about this phone it speaks for itself, I had the original N95 and upgraded to the 8GB then i went onto a 16GB iphone to end up going full circle and buy another Nokia N95 8GB its the be all and end all of smartphones and really is a computer in your pocket. The best thing is the screen is superb and with an integrated 3d accelerator the video playback is on par with an ipod touch all beit without a 3.5" screen best of all the handset allows you to bluetooth any file that resides to another handset something the iphone could not, not only this the menu is true Nokia and symbian series os makes it a freindly and not frustrating experiance, you have to hand it to apple on the user inface its far slicker than the nokia but its not bad at all. Personally its the numero uno of uber smartphones I just hope Nokia updates the N95 with a larger 3.5" screen and puts S60 touch software on then apple will have something to worry about.
