Nokia N82 Cell Phone

Brilliant phone, has everything that a mobile phone should have and more!! GPS, MP3 etc, fantastic phone.

i just wanted to upgrade from the n73 which i still have to keep for emergency
but i always wanted the n82 since it first came out, for its excellent 5 megapx
camera, plus music player, maps etc all in all an excellent phone.only one complaint, the n73 has the light sencor flashing blue light when on standby,
handy when away in hotels etc easy to find in the dark. n82 does not have this feature.

Beware of Chinese fakes, they are tacky and the internal memory isn't as big as the original, they also don't support 3g and your email MMS will never be right and they tend to change their settings by themselves.
N95 N82 fakes sell for just £40 in Asia complete with box and accessories, you need to tell the difference once they hit the UK market stalls and ebay.

This phone has everything you need to have on a phone, the 5mp camera is as good as a camera, the N95 isn't as good as this camera video quality, the screen turns when recording so it stays in the same position but a different angle.

Going through the menu is great and easy considering it has a lot of features, I have sent a few pictures by email to friends in the Philippines, and they received them minutes later, I have even watched SKY news on it, nice and stylish phone with great quality, I love being able to playback all the contents onto my HD DVD recorder and transfer it onto disk, same as the N95 which I used to have and now the wife has it.

Only 2 downsides, battery life is not as long as the N95 and the keys are hard to view with it being all silver.

Excellent graphics, sound, browser and camera. Good phone too ... and it's got WiFi and GPS, so no limit to its uses.

Well the phone i ordered turned out to be a chinese fake so no comment on that. I then purchased one from a repetable dealer and its the best phone i have ever had

Nokia N82 is a piece of technology. It combines multimedia and office applications, just like a laptop.
It has a 5 megapixels camera with autofocus and carl zeiss lenses.I believe that if you have this, then the digital camera is just an extra weight on you bag.It can even take photos in night that are extremly clear.
It is very light in comparison to my old Nokia N70.
It's prossesor is really fast.....It opens each application and multimedia extremly quick.
It supports microSD higher than 2 GB which makes it more and more like a digital camera.
Its gps is a bit slow due to the fact that it must "lock" the satellites, but once it is done, then it's very accurate and reliable.
Wifi is very fast...I tried it on my wireless lan and it was opening the pages in a glimpse of an eye. You can even watch videos on youtube, chat with your friends on msn and send and receive emails with attachments.
I believe its battery is running low a bit fast, meaning that in two days it would definetly need recharging. Although I am using phone too many hours, so it's battery is ok for a standar user.
It's the best phone I have ever had. I highly recommended it.

Overall a very good phone, I upgraded from the 6210i to the N70 then N73 then the N95 then to the N95 8GB and decided to go for the N82 as i like prefer the candy bar style of phone, this a no nonsence phone reminds me of the classic 6210i in many ways. The battery life is an improvemnt from the N95 however not as good as the N70 or N73 i get about 2 days with overall talktime about 3 hours and 30 msgs sent however put wifi on and bluetooth will get about 1.5 dyas with it needing a charge at about 6pm on the 2nd day or it will die!!! The camera give perfect shots and the quality is amazing, the wifi is good and the mobile internet is fast and easy to use. The phone as you would expect form Nokia is easy to use and it more soild in build then the N95. If you are thinking up upgrading from the N73 this is ideal and both phones are very similar howvevr this one is not as slow and the pictures, menus etc dont take 3-5 secs to load up!
Dont really know what else to say just that its a well built soild Nokia and a pleasure to own.
I brought the sliver version however note that the material is not very sracth proof and marks easily! So if buying one of ebay try and buy a used on with the marks on already save a few bob cause you will get the marks anyway!!! When reading other reviews i found that the buttons were the main cause of concern for many people because they are smaller and more compact then other moderls, However they are lifted so it really aint that bad and very easy to get used to them so dont let that put you off!

nice phone with good features. The n82 is quite durable because it is Nokia. Nokia phone is known for its durability and its easy to use functions. Ovearll is a valur for money phone for a decent price

I wanted a phone with gadgets and the N82 is well stocked with them and it's a Nokia.

Likes? Well, it's a Nokia and so it's intuitive to use and easy to find your way around. It's got a great camera and a decent flash and so it takes pretty good pictures, although the red-eye reduction feature doesn't eliminate red eye totally, which can leave people looking a bit devil-like. It's got maps and so it can tell you where you are on a map and show you where things are and so that's clever. In maps mode the phone seems to like to connect to the internet to answer the where's stuff questions. I didn't realise just how costly this was and it ate about £15 worth of credit in a few minutes without me realising it (and I was only mucking about with it at the time!). It's got a decent sized screen and so isn't bad for looking at pics, although whether I could watch a movie on it, I've not decided yet. It comes with a decent sized memory card and so can store pics, songs and movies quite easily. It looks good.

Dislikes? Keyboard is small and keys a bit little for big fingers. Screen brightness is not brilliant, particularly troublesome outside on a sunny day (this can be fixed with a software update apparently). If you want to use maps like a satnav, then you've got to pay a subscription, which considering a portable satnav (navman for instance) costs well under a £100 makes the phone's alternative seem pricey. Battery life is around 2/4 days, which is not brilliant. It's not really a criticism of the N82, but it seems that with each new generation of Nokia phones a simple task like sending a text gets more complicated! Last quibble is the phone's speed - it's a bit slow. My old 6100 was very quick and simpler.

Overall, I'd say the N82s a good buy and I'm happy with it.

Best camera I have ever seen on a phone! Build quality of the phone is solid. Before I purchased the phone I was a little sceptical with regards to the keys because of some of the reviews I had read regarding the cramped spacing. I have found no such problem with the keys they work really well for my fingers and my hands are not small. I had also read many reviews with regards to the phones looks, many have said it is ugly - it really isn't at all - it a great looking phone! Mine was locked to the orange network so I took it to one of those guys that unlock phones in the market and he did a great job. I then took it home and upgraded the phone software to the latest revision. The phone is fast and reception is excellent unlike my last phone which was the Nokia E71 - I found the quality of calls on that quite poor. This is by far the best phone I have had to date and the fastest one I have used for web browsing. I would say ignore any negative reviews you hear about this phone and those who have problems with locking and speed etc. probably just need to update the phones software. For me everything seems to be just right with this phone and I think if you like the candy bar form factor you will definitely struggle to find a better phone. Get it - you won't regret it! I think black looks the best.

words do not do this phone justice. Get yourself one and start experiencing the true power of mobile technology. Mine has most of the programs on my laptop so I find it at times a worthy stand in for the laptop, I also have a 16GB transflash sd memory card in it so I have all my music, maps for the whole world, most of my pictures and, list is endless. A bit slow sometimes, but then again, with 16 GB and all those apps on a tiny mobile, what the heck?? As long as I have my world in my pocket.

Great phone, well built and quite small for the tech it packs. Better than a N95 in looks and feel. I personally recommend it.

The Nokia N82 has proven to be another excellent Nokia N-Series handset. It may not have much built-in memory (only 100MB) but with an easily accessible MicroSD slot, you won't be short of storage space especially with such memory cards selling high capacities at very competitive prices.

Battery life seems to be very good for this handset, considering the functionality it offers.

This phone offers an excellent 5 megapixel camera with a xenon flash (one of the few handsets offering this type of flash at the time of release to the market) and Carl Zeiss optics, and as a result also records good quality video as well as photos.

The media functionality of this handset is good, with excellent potential for storage of many good quality photos and music tracks. Coupled with the usual excellent functionality of easily-synchronised calendars and the like, Nokia have produced another good all-round N-Series handset.

Those who find smaller keypads fiddly might be put off by the small buttons, and the one annoyance the handset does possess is the ease at which the small media shortcut button can be pressed, particularly when using the 'c' button for backspace when composing an SMS! As a result, I'd drop a mark for this phone giving it only 4/5.
