hiya thanks for looking at my review ive only got 3500 charcters so ill have to keep it short.

ive owned the n73 for 6 months now and i thought i should tell anyone looking for a new phone how good it is.

first let me start by telling you that when the first phone was released it had some software issues was slow at sending texts kept crashing etc however the phone is now over a year old and nokia technicians have had time to sort the software out--this is easily avalible free over the net via download and is very easy to do all you do is connect your n73 via usb download a program from nokia and run it 30 mins later you have a fully updated phone.just check the nokia website out.if you read alot of reviews out there please remember that they may have had the old software installed hence they may have had problems and been anoyyed about the phone
i have the latest software installed form the nokia website and to be honest with you this phone rocks

good things about the phone
great camera 3.2 megapixel with auto focus and flash
symbian operating system
sat nav compatible works great with tomtom 6
fast bluetooth version 2
big screen with bright vibrant colours
great battery life
very well built nice and sturdy feels good in your hands
very loud speakers for music and handsfree
expandable memory up to 2gb
much faster then my old n70
great games and applications
can play movies
great video camera mp4 quality
easy to sync and i mean very easy
can play megadrive games snes games and gameboy games :-)
has a stanby mode to save battery phone is still live just saves power :-)
very stylish

things that are not so good
headphones supplied
no wifi

ha ha thats about it seriously the only thing i can fault this phone on is the headphones its supplied with
but you can buy a adapter so you can use any headphones just check out ebay and i use my cx 300s with it and the sound is awesome :-)
when i say the battery life is good i use the mp3 player for about 4-5 hours at work and when i finish work after a few calls and a few games to the battery has used 1 bar at the max with the built in satndby mode this phone dosent suck up the juice at all just make sure you dont have bluetooth on every min of the day and turn packet data to recieve when needed :-)

i used to own the n70 please see my other review , its a great phone too i really like it but nokia have tweaked the n73 to make it what the n70 should have been in the 1st place
you see nokia arent stupid they could have released this as the n70 but they take it in stages with slight but signifficant changes to each handset in their range ie this n73 has no wifi but then they released the n80 which does have wifi but has no autofocus on the camera.very clever marketing from nokia

would i recomend this phone
yes very much so when they 1st come out they were quite exspensive but as time has gone on they have come down in price and as people renew their contracts youll find them popping up all over ebay and amazon
ive bought a few phones off ebay and they have all worked ok so dont worry about that just do your research on the seller etc

i truly love this phone i have a seperate mp3 player a seperate camera etc but when i dont wanna carry them all about then the nokia n73 does all of their jobs and it does them very well indeed a recomended purchase :-)

if you found this helpfull then please vote for it

thanks happy ebaying

first of all im a bit of a phone person, had many phones and got bored really quick of them and ended up getting new one's all the time..........till the n73 came out .......what a phone.
I love IT so much your can do with this phone sat nav, music player,radio,3D speakers, full internet, and ive down loaded pocket divx and i can watch full dvds on my phone( down loaded to 1gig memory card)which i got 3 full dvds on.
Nokia are all ways adding things to the down load function on the phone at the touch of a button you can add extra stuff to your phone e.g firewall, anti virus, sms accel ( send messages in super quick time)
i even connect my phone to my computer and use it as a modem it nearly as quick as broaddband and not forgetting the camrea 3.2 meg which you have an option to take your pictures in different sizes so when it comes to printing them they print in 10x8 or 7x5 or 6x4 or just mms size.
and now there is nokia plus were you can watch love film ,bandwago ,NME,NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC and so on look i could go on for ever about this phone
JUST GO AND GET ONE YOU WILL LOVE IT

  Nokia n95... AMAZING!

The phone is everything in one. It has the best camera quality i've ever seen in a phone, and the night time pictures, even in pure darkness look like they were taken in daylight.

The maps (GPS) application and functions are excellent, no problems with it whatsoever

The sound quality from the stereo speakers is phenominal, very loud, and this allows for the built in loudspeaker to act as a great hands-free kit, no need to go an buy one!

Nokia are billing this as : 'what computers have become'
for me, thats right on the money. it does everything, its small.. (it really is small.. smaller than my N70 and does 10X more!) and its also light!

Nokia simply keep surpassing themselves by constantly producing better phones than there rivals. The N73 is awesome. Its extremely easy to use, has great functions and has a large screen to enjoy your pictures. The 3.2 MP camera is clear and of great quality.

As its a Nokia phones it is obviously easier to use than all its competitors.

The Sat Nav is fantastic. A great function to have on a phone especially for someone like me who always gets lost !!!

I have no faults to report or no issues with this phone. It is simply a must have !!!!

Nokia N73 Mobile Phone, if yours is branded u must read

T-Mobile are currently doing the N73 very cheap on pay as you go but I hear you saying I don't want to be on T Mobile, Well don't worry this phone is unlockable and to add iceing to the cake it is also unbrandable, see my eBay shop for guides and unlock codes! Anyway back to the review;

The Nokia N73 updates the Nokia N70 3G SmartPhone. The N73 is a lot thinner than the N70 and weighs less as well, making it one of the lightest smartphones. It has a conventional boxy design with a regular keypad very similar to the N70. The keys are a little too small for large fingers to use easily and the joystick can be fiddly too. The display is very large with an amazing 240 x 320 pixel resolution and 262,000 colours. Its one of the best displays on any smartphone.

As well as upgrading the display, Nokia have upgraded the camera in a big way. The N73 sports a 3.2 megapixel camera using the same Carl Zeiss optics and CMOS sensor that made the N70 a powerful imaging device. The camera has a built-in flash, 20x digital zoom, macro mode, plenty of optional settings and a photo editor. It doesn't perform quite as well as the best camera phones from Sony Ericsson, but it significantly outperforms its predecessor and is a very good camera. Video recording is at CIF resolution with a framerate of 15 frames per second. Usefully video can be recorded in either 3GP or MPEG4 formats. A video editor application is included. There's a second inward-facing VGA camera for making video calls.

The N73 is also a great music device. It has a music player that supports a wide range of formats including MP3, WMA and AAC, and also an FM radio with Visual Radio functionality to display information about the artist and track playing. The music player supports playlists and an equalizer lets you adjust sound quality. Sound is through dual stereo speakers or using the stereo headset supplied.

The internal memory has been expanded to 42 Mbytes and there's support for a hot-swapable miniSD card. This will provide bags of room for storing music tracks and videos, making full use of the possibility to record videos of up to 90 minutes in length. Connectivity is via Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0 and infrared. Battery life is very good for a 3G phone.

As always with Series 60 phones, the complexity of the software means that they are usually slow to start, slow when browsing menus, and can be prone to crash. Read through our user reviews below and you will see that the number one complaint about the N73 is the problem of the phone freezing or shutting down, often when receiving a call. This is quite a common complaint in fact, and for this reason we have deducted two stars from our overall rating. A phone that doesn't work is not acceptable, however good it may be when it actually works! You might consider the Sony Ericsson K800i as an alternative, although it's not a Symbian phone. If you want a Nokia, but have been put off the Nseries by this review, you might like the Nokia 6300, which has most of the functionality of the N73, but isn't a Smartphone and is much more reliable and user friendly.
