Nokia N70 Cellular Phone

An absoloutly fantastic camera phone, very easy to use. Nothing to dislike about it. Love it best mobile I have owned.

It's a good mobile phone, advanced and user friendly. Very worth buying from ebay at a very good price. Much more expensive locally. A very popular model. Most satisfied with it and with dealing with the seller.

The N70 was a progression from my previous Nokia 6630 being of the Symbian series they were similiar to use. The N70 has great features and is easy to use. I especially like the way to use the 2 Megapixel camera as it has a sliding cover on the back that covers the camera lense. When you slide open the cover the phone switches to camera mode and is ready to use (even if you have the phone on key lock). You can either click the joystick to take a photo or hold the phone horizonal and press the dedicated camera button. Being a smart fone is handy too - if you buy a bluetooth GPS receiver you can install TOM TOM software on the phone and use it as a TOM TOM sat nav system. The menus are clear and easy to navigate and if you are used the Symbian system you will be right at home. I have the N70 Music edition and with one button press you are into your music player. I would recomend getting a 1gb memory card fitted so you have plenty of room for your phone software & games and music. Overall a great phone - I have looked at other makes of slide & camera phone and still prefer my N70!

I needed to replace my Nokia mobile. Having been happy with the various Nokia phones that I've used throughout the previous six years I was content to buy another.
This, however proved to be a mistake- I chose the N70 model because it looked quite similar to my previous mobile phone which I really liked untill it fell out of my hands and slipped into a puddle.
It does everything that it is supposed to do, but there are little annoying things about it e.g. the phone won't display both the name and number of my contacts, so unless the contact name specifies whether or not it is a mobile number or land line I have no idea where my text messages are going. Yes, it would make sense to specify this when adding contact numbers to my phone but I am using my old sim card and I had no to need to do so because I able to display the name and number of my contact on the screen at the same time. It is only a small thing I know but it is frustrating all the same. There are other small things which annoy me about the phone as well as this.
The phone has lots of great features such as word documents and office tools, however I have no need for these accessories.
I personally want a simple yet practical phone- the N70 however is complicated to use and is much too big in size for me.

very pleased with purchase.having melted my n70 in a truck obviously my own fault.I purchased another n70 because I knew how to work it and I have chargers to suit.

Still looks great an works great screens large and pictures look great. Camera lense is protected by cover that lifts up and down. Galerys a treat to use as it has a carosel style you can get to your picture quickly. Textings easy. A fantastic handset.

The mobile is nice to look at but i did not knw how to wrk it, so then i finally got it swicthed on and was ok until the back came off somehow.

This item although used was good value for money and basically I am pleased with it. I purchased it because a friend of mine also has the same model and I had previously used that on occasion.

I left genuine positive feedback for the seller. But in future I will only give feedback if the seller gives me theirs first. They got instant payment and no hassle at all. So far I have had no feedback for this item which I feel is lacking in courtesy, even in this day and age 'me-first' ism.

Business Smartphones have a habit of being a bit chunky and uninspiring. So we see many executives trying to use fashion phones while travelling and wondering why their V3 Razr breaks or why that flip phone starts to become unreliable. Nokia have been the business phone of choice for over a decade but until recently their smartphone have been more like smart slabs! This looks set to change with the new N Series and the phone we have on review today the Nokia N70.

The Nokia N70 aims to try and bridge the gap between the business class smartphone with something you'll be happy to place on the bar next to your pint. Firstly the N70 is now a useable size measuring 09 x 53 x 24 and weighing just 126 grams, it's a smartphone that's been on a sensible diet. Its style is best described as professional chic but some may say it's only part way along its evolution and you can still see the slabiness of the outgoing Nokia 6680. Good use of materials makes the N70 feel good in the hand and the silver bezel around the large screen focuses the eye.

This slightly dubious design is due mainly to Nokia wanting to get a good screen and also a useable keypad on the front of device without resorting to sliders or flips. The only side action on the Nokia N70 is the cover for the camera on the rear of the handset, but we'll get to that later. The 262k colour screen has a respectable resolution of 176 x 208 and its clever ambient light sensor means that the N70 can adjust its backlight so you should always get the best view in all lighting conditions. To see the power of the backlight you'll need to take manual control in a dark room and use the screen as a torch, it's very powerful and there are a number of freeware applications which allow you to do small tasks like this easily on the Series 60 platform.

The keypad is well laid out and oozes quality to the touch, the feel is very positive and the little joystick seems much better constructed than that found on the SE k750i of which we have seen numerous returns for failure modes. Perhaps our only slight quibble on ergonomics is that we kept nudging the "2" key when using the joystick as they are quite close together.

Having a combination of a good screen and an ergonomic keypad is key to a business smartphone as most of the features are going to actually be used rely on data input. The Series 60 Symbian platform brings with it a now familiar range of PIM functions including email, pocket office and ability to read PDF documents, all the features that anyone who travels frequently will need. Connectivity is also a key factor in deciding on a phone for business, here the N70 scores well on almost every count, firstly it a Tri band 900/1800/1900 and also WCDMA 2100 MHz 3G compliant phone giving near global coverage and also access to both GPRS and 3G data services. Local connectivity relies on either Bluetooth 2.0 or Nokias own proprietary Pop Port which is in effect a USB 2.0 connection that should be quite speedy, the only physical connection missing is IR which has been dropped.

these mobile phones are so easy to use ...the menu is simple with no complications..also mine has a built in nav core which is sat nav with camera detecters on it..very handy piece of kit........no crashing or slowing down of handset...worth buying...great 2 mega pixel camera also video on board too..many thx..

The N70 is definately the best phone I have ever owned. My son called it Bomb proof as he dropped it a couple of times and it was still ok, as new. Battery life is ok, much better than the N95 that I now own. I just loved every thing about the Nokia N70

I like the freindly usage of the phone, not just because it is a Nokia, but simply because I can access menus and submenus quickly, not to mention the easy access to keys. Anyways, overall, despite of it being a used item, it is definitely a good buy.
