Nokia 8310

This phone will last you a life time, literally!
Its got excellent battery life and if your a texting person,it's easy to use keypad feels comfortable to use.

Just so you don't get bored it comes with a built in FM player, WAP, & 2 built in games. The back light is very bright and easy to use even under direct sunlight.

However, removing SIM card is fiddly, and isn't colour screen. Compared to modern phones it will seem a bit out dated, but for its day it's a fashionable business retro phone, with x-press on covers, GPRS and Infa-Red connectivity.

This is the older generation of the Nokia, with the basic easy to
use menu system.
There is no fancy features that you have on modern phones and the
screen is only black and white, lit with white led's (not those
amber ones!)
Reception is good, the phone is small and light, around 90g and
fits in your shirt pocket with no worries.
Battery life is good, sound is good but the ringtones are monophonic
as you'd expect with an earlier phone.
Has a FM radio built in and IRDA for data.
Well worth a go if you like classic phones.

This is definitely the best Nokia Mobile I've ever used. It is also the smallest, although not as slim as the latest models, but nevertheless brilliant for slipping into a pocket or handbag. For those who are technophobes ... this is definitely for you!! It's simplicity itself to use; perfect if you merely want to take and make calls, leave voicemails or send and receive texts. It has no annoying ringtones and the text alert is a straightforward bleep. It can be set to vibrate and has a very effective Alarm to wake you up in the morning.

The only thing missing from this mobile as far as I can see is a camera. I have a more up-to-date mobile, but am confounded by the new controls system, so I am not using it. I wish Nokia would go back to the 8310 format and stop over-complicating the method of accessing the controls. Nokia PLEASE listen!

I remember when this phone came out, it was such a big hit like the 8210 before it, and it went on to a great seller, because it was a reliable, well built phone with GPRS, and even today it is a good handset. Small, light and full of goodies!

It is a good little phone. I used to have it for sometime in past. the reason I like it more is its size and simplicity. Every single person can use all its features without any hassle. Recommend to all.

The Nokia 8310 replaces the very popular 8210. The Nokia 8310 features a more modern stylish look, WAP (GPRS), and the benefit of an integrated FM radio with headset. The infra-red modem enables the Nokia 8310 to easily interface with a laptop for example. The re-modelled facia makes the buttons easier to use than the 8210 which it replaced, and of course the phone looks more modern than the older 8210. It's actually even smaller than the 8210, although a touch heavier. Reliability problems and the fact that this phone is well past its sell-by date in terms of features make this a poor choice nowadays.

simple old phone that doesn't take pictures or surf the net but it rings people and sends texts etc.

This is still after 5 years a top mobile. Forget all the gagets and gismos this is just a basic phone for calling and texting. Battery life is excellent and the smallest a simplist phone to use. Having bought it as a pay as you go phone and later selling it, I have bought several of these since and still love it.

i love this old style phone i think it is just one of the best phones to have been released ever. there are many features on the phone such as the games i.e. snake, snowboard etc which are just brilliant. in addition i love the fact that this phone is so small and can fit in your pocket with ease and also the design i believe is very stylish and so a phone is really just needed for the basic as to make and receive calls and nothing more and this Nokia 8310 does exactly that with amazing results.

This small phone serves its purpose if its just to make & receive calls and send the occasional msg. Its very simple to use and what you see its pretty much what you get. If its the basic use phone that you want or just an extra handset then this is perfectly ok. But as a main phone I would not recommend this phone as it does not have some of the features that you would get from a recent model, such as colour screen, bluetooth, infra red, internet etc.

The Nokia 8310 is a excellent small lightweight easy to use phone, with FM radio. This model is still very popular, Aviod USED phones, and cheap refurbs. SRP £24.99-£29.99

Due to its very small size,great vibration and white back light i like it very much.......................................

when i got the phone it was nothing like it was on the picture. it had a black mark on the screen , it would not charge, And it fell to bits in my hand.
I got in touch with the seller and he said there was nothing wrong with it,
i got ripped off

I was lucky enough to receive a gift or an Nokia 8310 back around 2003, for helping some contarct workers get their money out of a sponsor in the UAE. It was a smasher, i could tune into FM stations whislt traveling abroad. Last year the on/off button came out. I downloaded the servcie repair form from the nokia website, and sent it to them in the original box with the brand new unused facia re-fitted, and asked them to repair it and I would pay. It was returned to me in a squashed box in an envelope, saying that it was out of warranty and I should send it to Communicaid in the uk. when I opened the box the mobile had been crushed and the facia was broken. I never did get back the original box it came in. I then sent it to communicaid with a letter explaing all the latter. I received at letter back from them asking for 60 pounds to repair it or 13 pounds to have it returned to me. I have wrote numerous letters and emails to Nokia complaing and they never acknowlegded any of them. So they are still holing my mobile to ransom. So I thought I will give ebay a try as I rarely use it. I found quite a few people offering mobiles I bid and won one for a few pounds and when I received it it was locked to a network (my fault didnt read ad properly. So I bid on another and won it very cheaply from a lovely lady in North Wales. It works fine and I am using it to roam India & the East. Both of them have cost me less than the charge wanted from that crummy outfit that wanted to charge me...So beware of all the nice advertising gumpf from People like Nokia, their phones are fab..but when they go wrong..they dont give two hoots about you...you may as well bin it and go to ebay..lots of good stuff and the sellers are mostly great people just trying to sell their old gear for a reasonable price..But after all that do beware of certain companies selling stuff en-mass, they charge cheap prices .....but the postage is the sting in the tail..cos they also include the postage price plus the 17.5 % VAT...which I think is utterly wrong..postage is postage....Kev Clarke, Jumeriah Hotel, Dubai..thanks ebay..luv ya..

Needed an 8310 and it never arrived.Itwould have been very nice if it had arrived, but it did not unfortunately arrive so I am bereft of the pleasure of being able to use this wonderful device.

Just wanted a basic Nokia and the 1650 has a good sized screen too, ideal for texting. On the downside the lettering on the keys is a tad small.
