Nokia 6680 Smartphone

At first I was a little taken back at the size of the phone, being larger than the Nokia classic 3110c but the more I used it the more it grew on me, you can feel the quality of the phone when handling it and as all the Nokia's I've had the battery life is excellent.It has many features half of which I probably won't use but they're there if you want them.Compared to the 3110c the software doesn't flow as easily, the 3110c was virtually a plug and play device, transferring files to the PC was easy, whereas I'm still trying to figure out how to transfer files to amd from my PC with 6680. I had to purchase a memory card as I didn't get one with it, it seems necessary to have one as the phone memory is used up quickly.The camera function is simple to use and I like the larger screen display, when you open the camera lens it goes straight into camera mode which is handy. The speaker is nice and loud and is very good clear sound but not as good as the 3110c in my opinion. Overall though it's a very good quality phone and if you don't mind the slightly larger size, then you'll love it, otherwise if you want something a little smaller, then the 3110c is another great alternative.

THEY ARE VERY ROBUST,ARE GOOD FOR GAMES, PICTURES,MOVIES, MUSIC, TOM TOM MAPING,AND EASY TO CHANGE THE COVERS,FOR GOOD LOOKS. WITH A GOOD SIZE SCREEN A GOOD CHOICE FOR A EVERY DAY PHONE.
I RATE THIS GOOD OLD NOKIA ITS ONE OFF THE BEST! 8/10

I am still trying to make it get a signal where we live (some phones are better than others here) but more importantly none of the advertised memory cards will fit into slot despite being sold as correct. Still researching! thank you , Penny
N it was second hand and arrived without card - seller bought one in good faith and it did not fit. I bought one too; identical
Later . . OK it was my mistake - the memory card wil go in if you use the door of slot to push it in - then worked normally. However, altho' signal probs are largely due to our location, the controls of this phone are long-winded and the phone is larger and heavier than average - and its controls seem to go with that! Everything takes longer than usual to acheive. I have sold it to envirophone for £20, after paying £27 on ebay! Not recommended unless user wants a particularly manly phone, and does not want to whizz around features!

You would think that a modern "smart phone" which is relatively new would have all the features you need at the touch of a button which in fairness it generally does. You can even change the shortcuts to features like the internet, contacts etc fairly easily.

The problems come when you want to add a photo or a ringtone to one of your contacts or, come to think of it, any of the basic functions of your average mobile phone. The menus and options are far from straightforward and do not make a whole lot of sense.

On the plus side it has all the features you would expect with a good resolution screen and a protected main camera, it even has the bonus of a small front facing camera for video calls. The keypad also isn't too small for those like myself who don't have tiny fingers.

Having upgraded from a Samsung E250 I wasn't massively impressed by the features on display given the quality/price ratio of the Samsung so I could only recommend this as a major upgrade for a seriously old phone.

Top tip, wait until the latest generation of iphones and blackberrys etc become alot cheaper if you want to get a real upgrade.

I love the Nokia 6680... Does Everything you Need it to, Plus Sturdy (it takes alot to break!!!)
