Nokia 1600

I think this phone is really nice, its quite practical and is really good for people who just need a phone for calling people.
It doesn't pretend to be anything else than what it is - a good looking, easy to use, basic phone with excellent battery life..
If like me you just want to make calls & send texts then buy it. If you want a camera, mp3, television or washing machine then look elsewhere!

I decided to buy this phone for my wife, because I had the same.Its slim and compact.Also we only need 1 charger when we go on holiday

SImple easy to use phone for people who dont want complicated features but just make calls and txt... It does what it says!!!!

This is a fabulous little gem. I mean, c'mon, phone is a phone, why clutter it with cameras, mp3 players, large LCDs, and all kinds of complications? This phone does everything I want:

- Makes/receives calls, perfect sound, perfect reception, all the time
- Sends/receives SMS, stores a large number, and heck, it can even send at scheduled times (great for birthdays, celebrations, etc)
- Battery lasts over 10 days for me! Incredible! I charge it 3 times a month!..

PROs:
- Very small and light, buttons are perfectly sized
- Smallish but very clear nice LCD (TFT but it can be read in sun perfectly)
- Perfect sound, perfect reception
- Very sturdy, I dropped few times, no problems
- Very cheap, I got it for £20

CONs:
- NONE, seriously, NONE! Amazing...

Buy it if you need a phone.

A perfect simple mobile phone - easy to use with excellent battery life. No gimmiky extras just a good basic phone. Small and discreet without being too small to handle with comfort.

This is a simplistic phone for my father in law.
He is 60 years old and needs simplicity therefore this particular phone is just right.

As a simple "no bells and whistles" mobile phone, this is a great model. Easy to use Nokia screen functionality, and cheap as chips. If it is cameras and music etc that you are after then steer clear - but if you are old fashioned like me, and want to actually use it as a phone !! Heaven forbid...then look no further.

Great phone but no camera if your looking for a cheap nokia to knock around they last for ever.Mines been dropped countless times even dropped out of my bedroom window and still worked the only thing that killed it in the end was it fell in water.Ive got the same model again and dont think i would bother with any other unless i need a picture phone. comes with some good ring tones and even a talking alarm and some good games,If buying one new expect to pay around £15 to £30

I bought this phone because of its size (small)it is nice and handy and allthough it has not got a camra it still has many other things on it and very easy to understand, I like the way the buttons have a raised fronts so that one can find them when texing Ect. overhall a cheep well designed and usefull little phone

I love nokia phones so was gutted when mine broke down finally,The nokia 1600 was no disappointment to me when it arrived,I love it, its slim easy to use if you just want your none camera type phonemFor me its perfect,Thank you again nokia and thank you gbazs35 foe selling it to me at such a great price,

GOOD PRATICAL PHONE DOES EXACTLY AS WHAT IT SAYS ON THE BOX AND ANYONE CAN USE IT WITH EASE IN A BREEZE.

If you are looking for a phone you can grab and leave, expecting to be able to make and receive calls, this is a great phone. I left mine on standby to see how long it will take to run flat... 17 days!

I also have a more complex phone (which is great to show off with) but the battery life is closer to 4 or 5 days on standby, 3 or 4 days with 3G enabled and moderate use.

So if you want an average looking phone, with just the regular telephone and txt features, this is highly recommended.

a great basic phone without loadsa extra crap like a camera that you dont need and mp3 player that you dont want.....just makes phone calls and has a very long battery life. Good phone.

A nice candybar phone that fits comfortably in hand.
Quite a basic phone and ideal if your main requirements are for making calls and sending texts ... it carries out both these functions very well.
It also sports a talking clock which can be useful, particularly if you have poor eyesight and have forgotton your spectacles.
A speaker phone is also included which works well at home or office but is not really loud enough to be of much use whilst driving at any speed or in a noisy environment.
Overall I would recommend to anyone requiring a simple easy to use phone with clear screen and who doesn't want all the bells abd whistles of a more expensive phone. Excellent value at current prices available.

I like this phone because of its ease of use,small size and makes a good spare backup phone and can be used by any one from eight to eighty.

This is a great little phone. Just the basic calls and text but a lot more stylish that the old type 3310/3330 Nokia.

Great phone for those who want a servicable phone without the bells and wistles.

after continued attempts to contact seller after I had paid imediately for phone I got no reply and no phone, eventually even though there was 5 phones for sale I was told no phones were available and after a struggle got my money and postage back. I did contact e.bay but got no answer therefore I CAN NOT RATE or COMMENT on this item as I DID NOT RECEIVE IT. I did however get continued demands for money and was threatened with bad feedback. I am severely disabled with M.S. in wheelchair and ordered this phone as it is designed for peole with hand problems. I was extreamely disapointed and had to get my phone elsewhere, frankly the whole experience was traumatic and upset me, I have been with e.bay a long time and was shocked at the way I was treated. After all the years with e.bay I still have 100% feedback.

This is everything a phone should be, I've only had it a couple of days and I love it. I can phone and text my friends with it, It has a clock to tell me the time and it gets me up in the morning. Perfect!

The screen is small but colourful and clear and the classic Nokia menu makes it easy to find your way around and get to the functions you need.

It doesn't access the internet (I have a computer for that) or take photographs (I've got a camera) and it doesn't play mp3s (I have an mp3 player) but it doesn't need to.

I was delighted to discover that this phone even has a composer (just like my old 3310) so I can program my own ringtones; yessss!

A classic, functional and reliable (I assume since I bought it second hand and it's still working perfectly) phone, possibley my favourite I ever owned!

Great Battery Life great for little hand bag nice design compact and has everything you need i had mine and its got alarm clock on sms messaging and all the stuff you need and low price

Purchased as a replacement phone for my wife. Simple and easy to use with loud ring tone. Not interested in taking pics nor sending texts just wanted a nice easy to use reliable phone to make and receive calls. This fitted the bill admirably.
