Nokia 1100

This phone is refreshing relief after years of phone companies trying to sell me a phone with gadgets i dont need!
I have got a digital camera so dont need a camera phone and have an mp3 player so dont need one on my phone. this phone is for people who want a phone that works as a phone and nothing else.
Long lasting battery !, SMS, a small monophonic ringtones composer and a minimal flashlight.

If, like me, you just want a mobile phone to make phone calls and maybe send the occasional text (not to sing, dance and take photos), then this is the one for you. No extras, apart from an extremely useful and surprisingly powerful (given the size of the phone) torch. The phone menus are easy to navigate and the spongy keypad is both functional and pleasant to use. My parents (both pensioners) also have this phone and they too find it easy to use. Highly recommended.

I had one already and liked its clear, easy to use menu system and clear large buttons. No frills just a good easy to use phone.

I was sick of phones that try to do every thing and do it badly so i bought myself
a basic nokia 1100 and it is brilliant battery last over a week and i never miss a call or text nice and cheap so if i lose it (no-one would nick it) its not alot of money to replace it

If what you want is a basic phone you can't beat the Nokia 1100. The menus are logical, the display is clear and it operates as straightforward mobile phone - no bells and whistles but no great complication either

If you read the manual you can lock the key pad so you dont phone up people willy nilly.
I did it four times oce in the middle of the night whiles I was in hospital.
Fortunately it phoned my daughter who realized it was me and she phoned the nurse on duty and she woke me up and switched me off!! I was not popular and read the manual next day.
I like a bargain . I bought the last one as spare 2 in case my wife lost hers .
She did within a week but found it again in another hand bag.
It was a good bargain about half price.

I got this phone for work as i didnt want any thing fancy that would get broke. i was really happy with it. a nice cheap phone that does every thing i need and is very hard wearing. if you want a no thrills cheap hardwearing phone this is for you

I love this phone.I bought it as a replacement for the same model that I have had for the last 5 years, but which has finally been abused too much and given up the ghost. It's such a simple phone: All I want it to do is to send and receive texts, and make and receive calls, both of which it does no probs. Its black & white screen is easily viewable even in bright daylight (it lights up when you use it), and best of all, it survives me throwing it into bags, dropping it on the floor, even from a paraglider as I launched and down a rock face when I was climbing. It bounced and separated into several pieces, but worked again when I put it all back together. I even dropped it in the snow when skiing one time but couldn't find it, so went back 3 days later with a friend's phone and called it: it rang and I found it. Great little gadget!

Slim, light weight, simple to you, durable and robust.
Also very cheap for use as a second phone. I have had Nokia phones in the past and i know the above statements to be true.
For those of us that only use mobile phones for what they were originally designed for i.e communication, this is a great simple phone that is very easy to use. If you want to listen to music, get a ipod or an MP3 player, if you want internet access on the move,get a netbook.

We have had one of these phones for years.
They are almost like a phone from the stone age compared to modern ones today.
No cameras, no colour screens..
But it is proving very durable. It has been dropped, and who knows what, but it still looks as good as ever.
The battery similarly, still lasts several days.

Great little phone battery life is amazing keypads great to use for texting.the torch light is great touch and its a fantastic entry phone or for business users or people that want a phone to be a phone for calling an texting not gizmos and gadgets well worth the money.

That is not a mobile who fancy emails on the go, mms, fast data transfer, 8mpx photos..., but yes there is a big BUT- if you need a phone for the main purpose which the phone has been made for that is a perfect little machine for you.
The best features in my opinion:
* unusually long battery life
* small and compact
* solid and resistible build
* monochrome clear display (no matter shade or shine- well visible)
* (almost) waterproof keypad
* very useful and effective flash light
* lack of fancy unwanted features like most today's mobiles have
* cheap!!
* no crushing- simple but reliable software

So its up to you, you can get the latest 8 mpx crushing combine,
or have this smart tine machine which does the job! Is not that posh but you might be much happier with it than with any other.

top littel phone easy to use and verry simple just ideal for people how are not upto date with moden mobiles the father inlaw loves this phone he had the same phone and he was tikeld pink when i found him the same phone if you dont want carmers and mp3 players just want a basic mobile this is the phone for you Thanks James

The phone was only for work,it's cheep and does everything i need it for.I like it because it simple to use.

Cheap, simple to use, compact,keyboard not too small for my huge fingers, no unwanted useless gizmos ,just a good phone

i bought it for an elderly family friend which seems very easy enough to use in many ways.
she's having no issues so far answering & making calls.

a strong handset with excellent battery life.
quite cute & compact to the touch & pocket.
does the basic job well indeed.


the newer 1101 is better by looks though.
