Great item, well worth it. Touch screen is a great extra. I bought this a couple of months ago and i still find myself clicking away on a daily basis. Great for all ages young or old.

Unfortunately this item does not work properly as yhe touchscreen after 2 calibrations is off centre by 1/2cm so is no use. The seller has said she will have it back and cover costs including registered return postage costs. I will sent it on Monday and hope that she is as good as her word as the console is definately falty. My worry is that are they easy to break? as I was told this had been little used although it did have quite a few scratches and cotrol keys showed visable wear. I will have to get another one as I have purchased about 20 second hand games. Our Son has a white one (this is Black) and he is happy with the product. So this one I have to rate poor but generally I believe they should rate much more. When I have the money back for this faulty one I will write a review of the replacement.!!!!!!!! kenneth6459

perfect for all the family these consoles are great, and have a fantastic range of games, including retro ones from the n64, super mario, sonic etc.. PERFECT!!

I love this console so much that this is the second one that I have bought. The first one still works perfectly but I am not unwilling to share it!

I love all the brain training games you can get for it and I have seen a marked improvement in myself. There is also a wide range of adult games which are made for the DS. I love the fact that anybody can pick one up and easily navigate the screens, it is definately meant for all ages and ranges of people.

The stylus makes this console unique and very easy to use. There are other controls for use with different games which is pretty standard and very easy to use. Overall I recommend the DS Lite over the DS!

I really like this game console can be used anywhere and can be used for fun or the more serious items. Me and my daughter both have one and we sometimes contect to games and this is great fun.

Bought this for my husband to "train his brain"!!! - best thing I've ever bought as a present. He never gets bored with it and neither do I when I have a go. In fact it's almost addictive.

Really worth while purchase.

Very expensive new and come with limited game (s). Second hand if you get the right one, you have an expensive machine and at least a couple of games. Go for nearly new, or 'only tried a few times' as many people (with more money than sense) buy these things on a whim. Even if it only lasts a year (highly unlikely) you have got a good deal as even with manufacturers warranty/guarantee that is the time frame you are looking at. As always go with a large number (more than 10) and 100% feedback. Games retail at about the £10-£12 mark on e-Bay and you can quickly build up a great collection. A second hand DS should make around £60 + in good condition, an automatic saving of some £40 - £50 on the new price. I like the fact that I have made a substantial saving by buying on e-Bay and can pick up games as and when I choose for a fraction of the cost. You would be mad to buy new simply for the 'guarantee'. BEWARE HOWEVER, always look for PAL Uk standard as many new, shiny ones are Oriental imports which will need adaptors for Uk mains and could even be counterfeit/dangerous. Go for UK sellers who you believe to be genuine (read the blurb carefully). Good Luck!

I would rate this item as great if I had received it the man took my money and did a runner I am still waiting to get my money back.

Got my daughter one a few weeks ago and she adores it, can't get her off it in fact. So its a big thumbs up from us. She would like to add that its alot lighter than the original one and easier to carry about places!

I have been looking for a nintendo DS for a little while and thought the package offered was a good deal. When it arrived I was pleased that it was as stated.

The Nintendo DS Lite is one of my favourite consoles right now. I am a videogame collector and my all time favourite will always be the NES, but right now I just can't let go of my DS. It has so many benefits:
* An extremely large amount of great games
* The backwards compatibility for all my Gameboy Advance games
* The fact that it is REGION FREE, so I can always play the games I purchased when I was in Tokyo and NTSC imported games

These are also the main reasons that I am NOT too happy about the idea to purchase a DSi, since this later version is NOT region free, and does NOT have backward compatibility, which I consider the strongest argument to continue buying Nintendo, since the portable consoles have always been backwards compatible. Also functions like the camera and other things I don't find necessary in a gaming console, therefore I see no reason to invest even more in a lesser gaming machine (since I can literally play less games on it).

I really love the Nintendo DS, and I recommend anyone who has not tried it to get one!
