had this album when it was first released. fantastic then, still amazing 18 years later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is a great album for people new to NIN its one of my favourates and i have most of their albums. my personal fave songs on pretty hate machine
are the tracks SOMTHING I CAN NEVER HAVE and ofcourse long term fave by most people HEAD LIKE A HOLE. i would definitely reccomend to anyone to atleast give it a try and see for themselves what a great album it is.

Whether you're a fan of NIN and haven't heard the whole album or you're just into something a bit different, give this ago. Whereas a lot of the album does lack the innovation of Broken, The Downward Spiral or The Fragile it's certainly a hell of a lot more instantly accessible.

Just brilliant music and I really don't care what other NIN fans think but 'Head like a hole' and 'Something I can never have' still take some beating from Trent's more recent albums.

Honestly....give it a go, you never know you might like it.

Having always enjoyed NIN and recently downloaded their latest release (free on their website as a full MP download). I was pleased to come across the cd version of some of their earlier work.
The grunty raw nature of their music now has its roots from PHM. Buy if you dont already own, its a must!

i love this ablum, but then again i have loved all of NIN ablums. i think trent renzor is one of the most talented artist on the planet. he has singley changed music and has always keep true to himself and his music. This ablum was the start of something nobody has mastered or can measure up to.

As a NIN fan for a number of years it was good to finally get the 1st album. Its wonderfully raw, exciting and Trent sounds so young.

This album takes me back to my younger years. A friend had this on tape and it became the soundtrack of my summer of 1991

one of the greatest cds from the 90,s trent reznor started the new wave for electronic bands including manson ,,,,placebo,,,,and many more
this cd includes some of his greatest trcks on including head like ahole,,,,,sin,,,,,,terrible lie,,,,,
10/10 for this cd a must for all fans who havent got it yet
