This model of camera is far superior to any other Nikon camera I have had before. The picture quality is 2nd to none and the photographs look more like 3d images. Absolutely fantastic quality/value for money. I am amazed by this camera as I have had a Nikon Digital camera but this is by far, the best one made by Nikon. They've got it spot on this time.

Easy to use,good quality photos. Being new to this type of photography I wanted a camera that did not complicate things to much, the Nikon D40 has proved to be excellent and I am quickly learning my way around it.
