Photo Power In The Palm Of Your Hand

The Nikon Coolpix 7600 is a tiny camera that belies its power.
This extremely compact camera features a 7.1-megapixel sensor, 3x optical zoom with an exceptionally high quality Nikkor lens.
And that's what stands this camera out from the competition. Forget how many megapixels your camera has - it's the quality of the sensor and the lens that makes for good pictures.
Nikon are well known for their quality, but even I was blown away by the pictures that this camera produces.
There are some 16 shooting modes, each with a number of further choices, so whatever the situation, you can simply set the mode, point and shoot.
I'm not an experienced photographer, but I've produced some great pictures with this camera, including some extreme close-ups (macro mode).
The 7600 runs on 2 x AA size batteries. The best bet being NiMH rechargeables, but it can also use NiCd rechargeables or standard Alkaline batteries. Useful if you don't have access to a charging point - just buy some AA batteries and you're up and running.
I chose this model because it has a viewfinder, which I find easier to use.
The screen is 1.8" - small by some standards - but produces a clear, sharp display, except in very bright sunlight when it is more difficult to see.
The 7.1 MegaPixels allows me to produce good quality prints of up to 18" x 12" - great for portraits.
Having bought a few digital cameras in the past, I'm really regretting not buying a Nikon in the first place. But now I have, I'm hooked. It's Nikon or nothing for me.
