The Nightmare On Elm Street 1-5
When I first watched this Elm St #1, I spent most of the movie behind my hands and only emerged when told it was safe to, or when Johnny Depp was on ( we all loved him on 21 Jump Street.. yummy!)
The box set is very watchable, Freddie Kruger was definately one of THE scariest movie villans of the 80s, much more so than Jason Voorhees was anyway! I do feel that the films have suffered over time tho. Horror HAS changed, and its decidedly dated now!
I remembered it fondly as edge of the seat shocks start to finish, but watching them again as a 40 something, I find myself yawning and even laughing.. its just not SAW is it!!!
Still, I'm gonna keep it in my collection as I might fancy a giggle at the costumes.. and Nancy's acting, one evening with a pillow incase I dozzzzze off
