The Night They Saved Christmas (DVD 2003)

The storyline of this film is about a young boy trying to get his parents to believe that Santa really is real and that his dads company is putting christmas in danger. An excellent film for adults and kids, will get you in the christmas spirit.

I was looking out for a Christmas film to watch with the kids on the run up to Christmas, I bought this on a whim as it looked nice.
It's a bit typically American in the fact that the essence of the story is to try to get Dad to realise the importance of his family at Christmas rather than his work but saying that our kids adored it, even moving our 8 year old boy to tears in one part. As an adult it bears little depth but to gets it makes great yuletide watching

Used to have a video copy of the film and it is a slightly different spin on a Christmas film and I liked the story. It's based in the North Pole and focuses on a man who is searching for oil for the company he works for. There are two sites A and B, one of which could be disastrous for Santa and his workshop if drilling continues. The man's children and his wife try to help Santa to stop the drilling and save Christmas. Yes, it has a happy ending. As I absolutely love Christmas and I collect Christmassy films I wanted to have a DVD copy of it. Some people may find it a bit cheesy but hey there is so much horrid stuff going on in the world a bit of escapism makes you feel good.

I taped this film many years age, and the tape has now seen better days,So I just had to buy the DVD when I saw it offered on Ebay. My grandchildren loved this, and now their children watch it when Christmas comes around.

i used to watch this as child with my family we would watch it every week untill xmas we had it on video but as we used it so much it was unwatable i seen it on here and had to get it i got one for me and one for my mum i no i will enjoy it as much as i used to a great xmas film everyone should watch it

This is the best christmas movie ever. My sister and brothers grew up watching this movie, and now i want my kids to do the same. This movie will make anyone beleive in santa all over again.

Iv'e wanted the movie on DVD for sometime and never been able to find it . I taped it from the T.V. some years ago and it had the adverts included which made it very difficult to watch over again.

I decided to buy it because as a child it ws showing on Tv my mum taped it for me and i watched it over and over again. I now have a four year old and wanted her to watch it to as it is so lovely to watch, especially when its want a child thinks, i.e snow, cold xmas feeling.

It was good watching it again but time has moved on and i can see the difference from then and now (believeing is seeing - smilin) but as a child its is really special. My daughter did like it and her mouth opened wide when santa appeared, great to watch at xmas time when it is cold out side.

i was very excited about finding this movie, but when i recieved it i tried to play it in 3 of my dvd players and they all said the same thing that this dvd does not play in this region. i thought all dvds were universal, at least when i read on the box it looked the same as any other i own. i need to return this, and i am sorry that it is opened and that it has taken so long, but i have had my family staying with me for a couple of weeks and i have been very stressed out, so if you can let me know what your address is i will ship it back on tuesday of next week. i will just exchange this for another one instead of a refund if you have one that would work in this region so there won't be any problems, and i won't have to give any bad remarks, but please let me know the address as soon as possible, thank you, melanie

I bought this DVD because I remembered seeing it when younger and I think it is the best film about Christmas

as far as films on christmas goes i found the film average and bout how the three kids save chrismas it is a childrens film for the big day but the family can enjoy it as well
