I have got another Nell McAndrew's workout and this one is just as good as that. I was very impressed with it and I have already had my money's worth already.

I had already brought the other 2 dvds and loved them so decided to buy this one. It is very similar to the other 2 but with less squats and more running which i think is the only downside as i loved the amt of squats in ultimate challenge. However the usic is good and if u love high impact aerobics this is defiately challenge

i love this dvd you know that youve worked out once youve finished this

its helps when you see nell "sweating" too, as you can see that she really is working out "with you" -unlike the "other" fitness dvd's where the celebrities hardly break a sweat and look their best throughout with a face full of make up! lol

I bought this DVD after it was recommended to me by a friend. I had used other DVD's by other celebs but found that a lot of them tended to be slow, with a lot of chattering and pauses. Nell's DVD's are fast paced and set to pumping soundtracks which mean you can just switch on and get exercising. They certainly get you sweating and it took me a while before I could even complete a full workout! I highly recommend these DVD's if you want a serious aerobic workout within your own home.

  Nell McAndrew Peak Energy Workout

This is the first of Nell McAndrew's workouts. I bought this because I presently have two of her other workouts, her second and third. I have not yet bought her new one for 2008. I really love the Ultimate Challenge i find it gives you a full body workout that has a great sound track. However this particular workout DVD, although very high impact and fast moving, i found quite boring. It is very repetitive. The soundtrack playing is quite boring too, just a similar fast moving beat throughout. The movements are the same over and over, it is a good workout don't get me wrong, i was sweating buckets by the end of it, also i did it last night and today i feel muscle pain where i forgot i had muscles (i run 3x a week too), so in that sense it does what its meant to do, but I do prefer at the moment the Ultimate Challenge workout. But i would say it is worth getting if you are used to high impact workouts and want to do something at home instead of your normal routine.

Great Workout!!! Really gets the heart pumping!!!

If you want to lose weight and feel like you've actually done a workout this is for you!!! Even Nell looks knackered which i like, none of the glossy non sweating make-up hair done rubbish, she is out of breath and sweating like mad too!!! Good warm up, then you are flat out at top speed for 40 mins, cool down is bliss cause you know you've nearly done, then there is a great section for arms bums and tums, if you want to feel the burn. Fantastic dvd!!

If you're serious about losing weight, then this is the one for you. You sweat buckets so have a tall glass of water next to you. What i liked about this dvd was there is nothing fancy about it and you don't have to be all over your livingroom, you stay in one place and work really hard.My partner does the dvd with me as he likes the fact,it's hard, yet you dont have to think.I have all the dvds, the new one, Cardio, core and strength is our favourite. If you are a beginner, the new one isn't as long as this one.

This dvd was not what i was expecting. to fast so its more for extremely fit people. not for beginning fitness at all. so maybe when i get to a better fitness this dvd will be a challenge. so not all bad.

  Pure Intense Workout
Review created: 23/07/09(updated 23/07/09)

I go to the gym regularly each week and would say that I work out really hard and push myself when I am there. Even so this DVD really pushes the boundaries. I would say it is not for beginners, although you could pick and choose what you wanted to do and how far you want to push yourself, but on the whole it is for people who are at a mid to high level of training. The good thing about it is that you don't have Nell talking through the whole workout sections like some of these celebs do making silly comments. She does an introduction and then a little interview but from that moment on you don't hear a peep out of her, you just see her sweating alongside the Trainer and all the others working out with her. She really works herself hard and that encourages you to do the same. There is no glitz or glamour just a pure workout which I think is what people want - well it is what want anyway. There is the Cardio Vascular section, which is a killer for 40 mins, then there is the upper arms incorporating dumbells and then floor work - again both of these really makeyou work hard. I am still aching (especially my calves, to the point where getting out of bed in the morning is a killer) even two days after doing the workout. All in all this is worth 5 stars if I could give it. I have got another one of Nell's workouts, Maximum Impact, which I have yet to do, however, if it is like this one then I will be happy. I am now aiming to get her other two dvds as this is great if you can't get to the gym for whatever reason or want to fit an extra work out at home. Definitely recommended - can't sing it's praises enough!

  Oh My Giddy Aunt!
Review created: 12/03/09

This is very intense! I work out on a regular basis and almost did my self a mischief! There is a ten minute warm up section mostly built of fast paced arm and legs stretches. Then the Killer, a 40 minute high intensity work out of various jogging type exercises with possible hand weight using options at the end, no breaks for a rest. Then a hard 10 minute toning exercises and a small warm down.
The main exerciser guy barks instructions like an army commander and is not the friendly chatty type.
The music I found was great - its psy - trance and good stuff too! BUT if you don't like fast dance music its not for you.
Beware this work out is only for the super fit, sadists if you will. It will be a couple more months until I am able to complete this!

  Not for the faint hearted!
Review created: 07/12/08

This is quite a tough workout - I'm relatively fit having completed 4 10k runs and a half marathon this year and I had to jog on the spot in a couple of places. So it won't leave you wanting a tougher workout - just go at your own pace. I think it's good the music is OK, nothing special and the cueing is okay - The good thing is that there is no silly choreography to learn - but don't believe the "last set thing" it never seems to be true!! You'll feel it in your arms - I'd advise you not to use weights the first time or you might not be able to move the day after.
If you want fun I'd go for Turbo Jam - but this is far more intense and will be a regular feature in my bad weather training this winter.

This is not for the faint hearted. I used it for the first time last night and it really is a work out and a half. It's go all the way and the exercises most certainly reach the places that other may not have reached before. Highly recommended if you really want to go for it.

Same as other Nell's DVD's, a bit disappointing, didn't like the army style boot camp dialogue from the instructor, is very high intensity though
