Navman iCN 510 Car GPS Receiver

Easy to operate clear instructions and the fact you can walk with it and the hear piece it makes finding place while on foot easier.

Very good sat nav, does every thing you could possibly ask for and more. Havent had any problems since i got it and has all ways with out a doubt got me to my destination!

Pros.
Good basic system have used mine extensively since purchasing it. Clear instructions. I purchased mine with an additional SD card with camera positions on which is excellent for my job. Easy to use . Easy to set up. Also lists recent journeys which means you don't have to put in the address all of time .
Cons.
Found the screen glare can be off putting but you tend not to take any notice of that due to the concise instructions . Also the battery tends to discharge if you are not using it and haven't actually turned the battery off. You do need to keep it charging all of your journey otherwise it will run out of Steam by the end of a long day.

Right, the Navman 510 is one of my favourite sat-navs because of the price at the moment. Cheap as chips!

But the SmartST software and the navigation software is a nightmare to use. Slow, inaccurate, out of date, difficult to use...

HOWEVER the Navman is simply excellent because there is a load of good stuff you can do with it. If you know where to look.
This runs on Windows CE so if you know where to look, you can make a few erm..."alterations" to improve the unit. The word "unlock" springs to mind for some reason... Put it this way, after a couple of hours I didn`t need to buy another unit by any other manufacturer.
Anyway, overall. Navman 510 standard software is a nightmare to use, but there is so much more potential in this unit. Now read this again very carefully...

Excellent product takes about 2 minutes to locate a satellite but when it does performs perfectly even in very built up areas such as City Of London.I have used it on the continent and it is equally amazing..The screen is perfect and instructios are clear and concise all together a really great piece of Kit.

this unit is very fast getting you back on track when you dont listen it is very accurate and easy to use. Excellent battery life too what more could you want.

very portable gps system, easy to navigate. screen looks abit shinny, causing glare at times, but can be solved by setting screen brightness. i have a tomtom as well, and each one has its own pros and cons, when you compare them. but i feel that when you just only use the device to help you find your way,or think of alternative routes, the navman is better. but if you want to just sit back, drive and not think of where to go, try the tomtom. the best thing with this navman is, you can use it with navman, or use it with tomtom. fantastic

I bought this in order to get around more accurately and easily. Most of the time it is great - but I don't trust it entirely. Especially in town centres it is inefficient. For instance, it directs me to go straight ahead - even at a T-junction! I have been sent round the longest route rather than the most direct! It misreads roundabouts frequently, saying to take the second exit when in fact the road passes either above or below a roundabout where you really want to simply continue ahead. A bit confusing. I use it in conjunction with maps, road signs and my own pretty good sense of direction, but I would not trust it alone. It seems to have a good battery life, but on a long drive proved to run low at the most crucial moments and unfortunately the in-car charger does not seem to work, so it is not possible to recharge on the go. Some disappointments, but a useful tool nonetheless.

Hi,just a quick review on the navman i purchased off ebay .Very satisfied with it, the seller described it perfect,works ok,everything inc., original box was sent to me.The seller even posted the leather case for it after the sale because he said he realised he forgot to put it in the box,HOWS THAT FOR HONESTY AND SERVICE,can only describe this e-bay seller as EXCELLENT.I desided to purchase this because i travel to hotrod car shows and was using the internet aa route finder for directions,i borrowed a friends navman and thought why i had not bought one sooner,so i looked on ebay and bought one of my own.

bought in good faith and it had fault (hence the price) contacted seller and seller stinks bad looks like ill have to fight this one. beware

I had a poor buying experience, the seller only sold one part of the unit even though he advertised the complete package. Because of this, I have spent 42 pounds on just an inoperable part. This case has been submitted to PayPal for dispute resolution. In concluse, the poor review is because of the misleading seller and not the product itself
