I decided to replace my existing satnav(PDA running TomTom navigator5)with somrthing more dedicated, and looked at what was on the market, and was very impressed by write-ups of the Navman. I chose the S70 model as it seemed to have everything I needed as a trucker, and at the right price. It is very easy to use, proramming it could not be simpler, with a vast range of information that can be displayed with a tap of your finger. Updating the mapping and "safety" camera info is very simple, and you can swap info about road changes with others on a web-based forum.There is a very interesting feature built into Navman, NavPix, where pictures, either stored in the device already or taken yourself, or even downloaded from the website can take you to the subject of the picture. Thus, if you setit up with a picture of, say, the Tower of London, it will take you right there and even point out parking areas and eating facilities, fuel, cash machines and much else besides. Altogether, a very useful tool, the only other features I would like to see on it, would be bridge heights and weight limits, it already shows no-entry streets and one-way systems. All in all I am delighted with my purchase and would recmmend this to anyone.

This is my 3rd Navman Sat Nav system and by far the best. Previously, having owned a 530 series and then an iCN 630 I had had others tell me how much smaller their "Thomas" Tom's were and how they had less wires trailing around, but I stuck with the more expensive Navman because the product I felt was better, if not a little bulkier!!
The S70 however has, in my opinion, left the others in its wake!! With a touch screen display, and up to 6 hrs of cordless travel, this unit is easy to use as well as east on the eye & pocket. I paid just £119 for this great box of tricks!!
The Navman S70 is preloaded with the latest maps of Western Europe, including UK, France, Spain, Italy Czech Republic and Germany, etc. Featuring a pixel-perfect 4.3-inch widescreen and full 8-digit UK postcode search. The Navman S70 also includes integrated Bluetooth module for safe hands free calling and New Navman Desktop Manager Mileage Reporter. The Navman S70 intelligent day/night display makes the S70 even easier on the eyes.
It features turn by turn navigation with voice guided instructions and a full 8-digit postcode search with 2D and 3D moving map display. Information on speed cameras & the option to T2 traffic which provides real-time route traffic information for your whole route, complete with any hold-ups on the road ahead.
The unit is lightweight, compact and easy to slip into your pocket to ensure its not left in your car for some bu@@er to steal!!
All in All, everything you could ever want to get you from A to Z !!

Dead easy to use, remarkably accurate, nice wide screen & graphics v easy to use, operation simple, charging via 3 methods, programmable, hell it even shows you if you are passing a McDonalds! Which by the way is the best thing to do! Super gadget & very accurate. used it on a day trip with mates and they all want the same product!

Bought Navman solely because there is a headphone socket. I use it on my motorcycle with the Navman in my pocket & earphones under my helmet. Works well enough but sometimes confusing at junctions - really need to see the screen for confirmation. Loud enough to hear at motorway speeds.
I have used my sisters TomTom in her car & the menus on the TomTom are heaps better than the NavMan.

1ST!!!! don't use it until you have done a free software upgrade as the latest software shows the included software to be pants after that its a great piece of kit

bought nanman s70 for our holiday through europe very easy to use but in car charger broke before we got to dover. had to revert to trusty old map book will not be bying another navman.

This item was bought as a Christmas Present for my partner. The item was very good value for money (being alot cheaper than the shops). It covers UK & Europe. It can be used in a car or, being light, on foot when touring the cities of Europe. Not anything that I can say I disliked about the product. Very easy to use and to upgrade with maps using the internet.
