I first bought my Navman PIN 570 about 2 years ago, I have had a software update from the Navman website, this now allows the unit to display the house numbers as you pass, this works both in the navigation or location mode. As a taxi driver I find this invaluable, as you would not believe the number of houses which do not have the number displayed. Also in the dark , it can be difficult to see the numbers. The unit is as accurate as up to 60ft, so if you are not outside that house, you are at least next door.
The down side is, that the connector for charging is succeptable to breaking off, henced the reason that I am selling my original for spares or repair. But my belief in this product is that good, that I have purchased another, but I will be more careful with the connector this time.
I don't know why Navman discontinued this product, as they offer no other sat nav P.D.A. combination unit.
I have a 1 gig memory card in mine, this alllowed me load the Tom Tom programme, but I much prefer the SnmartST navigation, it looks far better and is not as animated or cartoon like as the Tom Tom.
Hope this is useful for you. By the way, Halfors list these on their website fo 59.99 but are not available, so anything up to £110 for new, in my view is well worth it.
