Found the film slow in parts, but when the action started, it had me gripped, would definately recommend as a great family movie. If you liked Indian Jones, Tomb Raider, your really gonna enjoy this & with Sean Bean as the villan, he makes it highly entertaining.

this is not your normal disney film..this film was great 2 watch and was kind of educational too..my family loved it and were on the edge of their seats till the end...there was some laughs in it too which helped the storyline.

Having converted most of my old video collection to DVD I was thrilled to find this film gem in digital format. If you watch this in widescreen format, it really does the battle scene great justice; coupled with surround sound, you'll be gripped by the amazing cinematography.

It's just like Nic Cage to switch from a serious oscar winning role like 'Leaving Las Vegas' to this popcorn style saturday morning adventure style movie - and as always, he is brilliant in it - it's a bit like the Indiana Jones movie 'Crystal Skulls' could/should have been - action, adventure, history, a real treasure hunt - the 2nd movie is out now too - 'Book of Secrets' but this movie far outshines that one..

This is a rollicking adventure story in the same vein as Indiana Jones. Lots of impossible situations, plenty of "baddies", aliens and a happy ending. Who could wish for more? I bought this DVD for my grandchildren but thoroughly enjoyed a sneak preview!

WoW Wow wow, Brill film, keeps you entertained from start to finish, I loved it but most of all it kept the kids quite for an hour, so I my eyes it's one of the best action packed films i've seen in a very long time.

Similar to Indiana Jones, a good film throughout, never boring and easy going, watched it all the way through without falling asleep, would recommend as entertaining for all the family.

walt disney have done it again with a very interesting, adventurous, exciting movie. It gets you thinking whether it could all be real or not.The actors all make it feel like it could be real, making the characters come to life and believable. If you like films like the divinci code, tomb raider then this is the film for you. The dvd itself has some hidden treasures of its own making it even more enjoyable. Sit back and enjoy all the what if's and maybe's this film offers, you never know it might get you hooked on finding your own treasure, with clues and secret maps and family history and stories. National treasure, is it myth or is it legend or a well told story !!? you decide.

I thought it was gonna be like an Indiana Jones type thing, but its more a Disney type thing for kids. So i was disapointed.

great film, its a cross between indiana jones and tomb raider. very typical nicholas cage film, if you like his others then you'll like this one too.Plenty of action without being over the top. Nicholas Cage plays a good guy but with the odds stacked agianst him, however he overcomes everything to get the treasure and the girl! he's got a geeky side kick (just like lara croft in tomb raider has) and a stereotypical bad guy trying to get the treasure before him. If you like acion films that don't have too many twists in the plot then this is the one for you.

This was a gift for my husband who absolutely loved the file, he is a great fan of this film so i decided to buy him a copy. We have seen the 2nd movie and cant wait for this to be released on dvd.

This Film is fantastic - a tamed down ( but no less enjoyable version ) of The Da Vinci Cide - that the whole family can enjoy. The acting is fabntastic and this DVD has extras/ bonus feature galore!!! must have!!!!!!!!!

Good action, Begining, middle and end to the story. high ratting's for the cinameratogrephy. Good entertainment higtly reccomended to anyone to give it a looking at. Pleased to have a worm feelgood feeling at the end of the movie.

Nicolas Cage is first class in this thrilling treasure hunt. Outstanding.

My children ( 2 boys 6 and 8) really enjoyed this film. It had been recommendedby friends who saw it at a holiday let they were at. When the new National Treasure came out that motivated us to buy the original. It was a great watch and we liked the extras on the dvd too going through the clues to geteven more hidden extras was good too.

All our action heroes seem to be picking up their pensions these days, with Arnie, Sly and Harrison still cashing in on our need for great action movies with never ending sequels.
National Treasure offers a great plot, loads of intrigue and keeps you interested from minute one right through to the end. Nicholas Cage plays a great part as the intellectual adventurer with a story that has a basis of truth with references to the Templars and the Freemasons, which makes the plot believable.
There are elements of humour and the supporting cast all play their part in making this an all round family film.
I have recently been to the cinema to see the sequel, Book of Secrets, and I can tell you , it's just as good as the first, maybe better!
I hope that there will be a third!
