Napoleon Dynamite (DVD)

Its a classic film! It keeps ya chuckling from the moment you press play!
I know you have to have a dry sense of humour to completely enjoy this film!
If ya watch it a few times you pick up on the funny bits more - like the bit when N'D's uncle chucks the steak at Napoleon! It clocks him straight in the face knocking off his glasses "Urgh what the heck are you doing?"
and his brother says "Thats what I'm talking about!" there such nerds it makes it hilarious viewing!
Would def recommend a watch!

i liked this film because the characters are funny and the way they act is good. overall it is a good film but not as good as people made it out 2 be

The film is one of those gems which tickles you in the darkest places. The thought that somewhere in America (and probably ONLY in America) there's people out there who are like this, gives you a sense of wellbeing that beats any illegal substance, Yet at the same time, it cries out to the geek in me telling me that it's ok to be different, as long as you have a good heart.
The pace of the movie gives you time to absorb the characters and their actions and leaves you reminiscing about days when things were much simpler.
If you liked 'The Royal Tenenbaums' then you'll love this. Some people will watch it and just won't 'get it'. Perhaps you need to have been a geek in a former life to really appreciate it. (Perhaps I'm still a geek ??)
Plenty of extras on the second disc and a cult classic in the making.

Napoleon Dynamite is the hero of this sweet tale about a smalltown awkward kid who helps his Mexican buddy Pedro in candidate race for the school Presidency. Although this doesn't sound particularly gripping, the characters draw you in to their little world & their perculiarities, like Napoleon's older brother Kip.
There is little use of profanity & the language used to replace the commonly-used expletives adds to the engaging humour of the movie. Unlike the swamp of American teen movies, there is little sexual gratuity. A good wholesome show.
Congratulations to the makers & the actors. A triumph.
(If you consider purchasing this DVD, go for the 2 Disc edition for lots of extras. I got mine for £3 off of eBay. Including postage ! A bargain.)

You need to detatch yourself from plausability before you can appreciate this, but it's worth it. Don't go looking for a 'film' in there, just sit down with a blank mind and you can enjoy sporadic hysteria and a 'feel good' climax.

I seen it on TV, then had to buy it. loved it with each viewing.

Close to a watered down Dumb & Dumber, but not quite so "Stupid".
