NEC VT460 Multimedia Projector

Do you want a projector that shows bright, good-quality images or one that has a low price? With the NEC VT460, you get both. The VT460's price is very reasonable, and its 1,450 lumens was the highest brightness we measured. (Of the projectors reviewed here, it came the closest to its company rating, which is 1,500 lumens.) The VT460 is a well-engineered projector, with feet that let you easily adjust the image position. At 6.6 pounds, it's the second heaviest model we reviewed, though even the heaviest is still portable. The LCD engine had no apparent pixel defects, though the convergence was off by almost one pixel in the lower-right quadrant—not a significant problem. The versatile remote is easy to use, and the on-screen menu structure is straightforward, so you can find and adjust settings quickly. If you want to display big, bright images, the NEC VT460 is the bargain of the bunch.
