It is a classic movie. I rarely watch movies more than once.....but this one is something you can watch a couple of times a year and not get fed up with.
Cousin Vinny, Joe Pesci, better suited to a life parallel to Del Boy is actually a newly qualified lawyer and needs to defend is nephew and friend accused of murder.
His performance is rivetting and the script is one of the best I've heard in recent years. His dialogue with his girlfriend, who is also coming across as amazingly limited, is superb....and you are left in no doubt that despite the brooklyn accents and the way they interact, they are both as sharp and as bright as can be.
Marisa Tomei was fantastic.....she won an oscar and she deserved it. The chemistry between them was perfect and the story just lent itself to the scriptwriters.
This movie is not funny in a slap stick way, but in a spontaneous way and it is romantic and meaningful all at the same time.
Its a feel good movie with a bit more.....and yes, it does have a happy ending.
