Muriel's Wedding (DVD 2001)

A funny film that has a good mix of comedy and sadness. For me its the little asides that make this film watchable (like when Muriels blunt talking Aussie dad leads her down the aisle and mutters to the groom 'She's all yours mate')

Absolutely love this film - it's a mix of funny, sad and crazy. I would recommend this film to anyone who loves the chick-flicky kind of scene (or anyone who loves ABBA)

I already have the film on VHS Cassette, and thought it was time to update to a DVD!
I just love the film, and watch it whenever I need to lift my spirits. I like the assortment of characters, the contrast between bizarre comedy moments and tear-jerking scenes. One's emotions work overtime!
I love the Abba music threading through it, and the ending is fab!
Obviously, the price was good on Ebay, and everyone loves a bargain!

THIS FILM IS SUPERB AS IT REFLECTS MANY DIFFERENT ATTITUDES TOWARD SEVERAL SITUATIONS. FOR EXAMPLE, THE GIRL WHO IS MOCKED BY PRETTIER GIRLS, HAS RELIGION THRUST UPON HER AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY, WHO'S CONFIDENCE AND SELF ESTEEM IS AT A LOW EB AS SHE WAS NEVER THE POPULAR ONE. THEN, SHE TAKES CONTROL OF HER OWN LIFE AND FOR ONCE SHE IS HAVING FUN AND FINDS THE MAN SHE'S BEEN LOOKING FOR. AS WELL AS A WELL CONSTRUCTED STORY, THE MAJORITY OF THE FILM HAS PLENTY OF COMEDY AND GREAT MUSIC!!! WELL WORTH A WATCH. YOU WON'T BE DISSAPOINTED.!! ENJOY!!

I just love films, and that is it. All kind of filmes: From very old (black and white) or Classics, or Comedy... I canenjoy any kind of film, as long as I find it interesting.

Couldn't find anywhere in the shop, seen it on Ebay couldn't resist. One for the girls with a bit of a zainy sense of humour. Sad in places and not what you could identify as a comedy but heart warming. Well worth staying in for especially if like a bit of ABBA, not saying anymore it will ruin it.

I absolutely love this film! It makes me laugh so much, yet I feel so sorry for the people at the same time.

I loved this film when i first saw it and now i happily own my own copy on dvd. It's a classic as far as i'm concerned, set in Australia it tells the tale of Muriel, her off beat family, so called friends and the wedding she dreams of. That's her one big ambition in life, or so she thinks. A favorite scene is the Abba tribute. The film touches on alot of different issues and it makes you cringe, feel sad at times but most of all lots of laughs to be had. The only down i had was there are no extras, but don't let that stop you from adding it to your collection.

Had this film on video for years so wtached several times, so had to get it on DVD so i could keep watching it, if you love abba you will love this film, its a film that can be watched again and again

I wanted to watch this film when it was first released but never got to see it. I saw it on Ebay and thought great...... good word at the time but the film was a total let down to me. Maybe if i had viewed it when it was released it would have been ok but i found it very boring and not at all funny but this is only my opinion.

it is a excellent dvd, in excellent condition, really funny film a++++++++ a must see film. my boyfriend told me it was a grerat film and he was right. especially the way she gets into her wedding dress. she looked beautiful and so happy.

A great film about a girl who can not get married and is surrounded by everyone else getting married. A great film that will make you laugh and cry.

The dvd is a classic girly film. the dvd played without skipping therfore in good condition. However the delivery took a few days and the box was not in tip top condition as stated.

This film is fantastic, it is funny and sad. With a masterful performance from Toni Collette in the lead role. She brings you with her on this journey of ups and downs. I'm not a huge ABBA fan but the music helps the plot along. I decided to buy it as a valuable addition to my dvd collection and am glad that i did.
