The Mummy - Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor (DVD)

Well this film is not as good as its predecessors and it also only has a handfull of the origional characters, for instance Maria Bello now plays Evelyn Carnahan O'Connell but she does not fit the bill quite as good as Rachel Weisz but in saying that if your like your Mummy films then its still a good watch but you might be disappointed, the other new characters Jet Li who plays Emperor Han and Luke Ford who plays Alex O'Connell do a very good job at holding the film together along side Michelle Yeoh (Zi Juan), Isabella Leong (Lin) and the ever funny guy in the Trilogy John Hannah (Jonathan Carnahan).
If you like to watch movies and collect them as i do then this edition is good my books.

Like this sort of film - an adventure and a bit of magic or fantasy. Th especial effects are pretty good and the story is ok too but I think it woul dhave been better with the original characters and it seemed to lack the ummmph the two preceding films had.

my son wanted the dvd and said it was absolutly great. The seller was fantastic to deal with. will buy from this seller again.

A full of adventure and action movie with lots of stunts and some funny moments.

A well made movie.

Unfortunately nowhere near as good as the first two. The actress who played 'Evie' was poor. The bad guys not half as good as those in the first two. There was just nothing there.

Predictable story line, good special effects. Bit sick of small subtitles. The leading man hasnt aged at all considering his son is now grown up? Shame Rachel Weiss couldnt have played the wife as the actress who replaced her just didnt have the same eccentricity and jois de vivre, Big words for me on a sunday. Really ejoyed arnold vosloo in mummy 1 and 2 and think a third was dragging it out a bit.

i brought this film becouse iv'e got all the other mummy films, and it is very good. brilliant acters and planty of action. i was very disapointed that Rachel waise was not the leading lady through. as she was in the first 2 films

Unfortunatly this continued the trend of many second sequils in that the actres playing one of the main charactors had been changed (Rachel Weiss).
Although the general plot line was much the same the whole movie lacked the intensity and edge of the seat drama of the previous two and so was rather disapointing overall.
If they are planning another one I hope they revert to the original cast and format.

The DVD did not work and so I rturned it but the seller says it did not arrive so I now have no DVD that didnt work anyway and did not get my money back.

Love the whole Mummy series and wanted to watch this one so I decided to buy it.Everything is good about this film there is nothing to dislike.A must have dvd to watch or own. :)

Loved the first two movies - so was looking forward to watching this - the only disappointment is that Mrs Rick is a different actress than the first two films - its not that she was bad but I just find it difficult when the Miss Ellie phenomenon happens. But the movie is excellent - sfx excellent really draws you in a great family movie will definately become a Sunday afternoon family favourite.

Good action film, we decided to buy it because we have the rest of the series and wanted to complete our set. It was also easily and redily available.

Its an excellent sequel and i just love watching it. Ive have all the rest of them and its worth keeping

Although the action scenes are excellent, the story line is not very strong and it lacks the onscreen relationship of the previous leading man & lady. This could be due to the fact that my interests lie more with Ancient Egypt than Ancient China and so my understanding of the background is not as good.

This DVD,the 3rd in "The Mummy" series,is far inferior to the first two.Brendan Fraser and Jet Li are unable to show their real acting abilities,and the storyline is very much contrived.basing the story on this flimsy subject is unfortunate.The "Warriors" are in fact a facsimile of the Terracotta Army which is for real in China,and based on the premise that they are the 'army' for Jet Li's Emperor?~absolute drivel.But to a degree,Jet Li & Brendan Fraser save the film a wee bit with there sheer presence.3 out of 5 at most for this,the Mummy's 3rd 'appearance'.

I really enjoyed this film, i have the first two 'mummy' films and this one didn't disappoint. Good story line, serious enough but mostly very funny, with quick witted one liners. Recommended viewing if you like something light hearted and easy to watch.
