Motorola TLKR T5 (8 Channels) Two Way Radio

For the price these radios are spot on. I bought them for use while snowboarding in the mountains to keep in touch with the rest of the group. The lack of an antenna to fall on was a major reason for purchasing and was very impressed with the small, lightweight yet very durable design. They did take a beating! Had no issues connecting to other members of the group with different make/model two ways despite having only 8 channels. Worked perfectly within valleys over even greater distances than advertised although when in sheltered/surrounded spots reception was not always possible two ways ie; i could hear them but they couldn`t hear me. Will now be using them for communication on building site. A perfect product for my requirements.

verry good set of radios, long battery life and alot of handy extra abilitys but at the same time there is no useless extras complicating these radios making them verry easy to use.

verry clear voice through the speeker, sounds clearer than most mobile phones at a short-medium distance!.

push to talk AND voice activated... and you can adjust the sensitivity of the voice activation.

the only flaw is that you have to say something before you talk properly into the radio when on voice activation mode, as it takes a second for it to recognise your talking into it.

Great design, very cool gadget. The claimed 6km range only applies in outer space - in real life situations you get 2-3km at the very best. Good battery life. It can only be charged using desktop stand (supplied). Radios have 9v DC input but connector is not compatible with charger supplied - quite silly! Mickey
