Failed after just two weeks of operation

I upgraded from a Motorola RAZR V3 to a new RAZR2 V8. This mobile phone is far better than the previous phone and met all my needs with great looks and ease of use. Unfortunately, the phone failed within two weeks of purchase. Although I thought I was purchasing a new mobile phone, the actual manufacture date was August 2007 and the battery was dated November 2007. Consequently, the phone battery failed after just two weeks, failing to hold any charge. At the same time, the mobile phone stopped working, and would not connect to the network. Even when I replaced the battery, the fault persisted, so this purchase is money down the drain. Maybe the phone failure and the battery failure are not related, but if you purchase a RAZR2 V8 it would be wise to check the date on the battery. If the battery is not new and the mobile has never been charged, it might be wise to also buy a new battery.
