One of the best book to film showings of Stephen Kings work. Great special effects, good acting and casting. The ending is different from the original story and although grim it works well in context of the horrors seen.
Heavily influenced in my opionion by the works of HP Lovecraft especially From Beyond, it has similar feel and tone to Silent Hill which is not surprising as SH was influenced by The Mist book and Laurie Holden plays an important role in both films. A grim but great film that I've been waiting to be produced since I first read it,the two hours sped past and it will be added to my top ten horror film list.*******
