Mike Bassett: England Manager (DVD 2002)

Great film for all,although if you happen to work at the English FA you may not agree.Very funny and sometimes scary as it makes you wonder about what actually goes on behind closed doors down at Soho Sq.Or Lancaster Gate as it was.
A must for all Football fans.

wanted the film 4a long time,so decided to try and get it from e-bay,as couldnt find it in the shops.

really funny film plenty of laughs enjoyed by everyone. absolute excellence in watching to see if england will qualify or even win the world cup!!

I must say this is a film I have watch so many times and will continue to do so.

It's a laugh from start to finish and just takes the mick out of the Engalnd setup which until the past year the film was more or less spot on.

A very good film indeed, and british, obviously, Ricky Tomlinson's amazing as Mike Bassett! A very likable and funny movie, even if you're not a football fan but brilliant if you are, Highly recommended!!

wanted to purchase this dvd cos mr bassett is quite funny in most films that he has brought out and this one definetly won't let u dwn.

This is a very funny take on of the England Football Team and the Bigwigs at the FA. Ricky Tomlinson as always plays a brilliant part along with the rest of the cast and if your like me an avid England and Luton Town fan even though my name is Murphy this is a must buy/watch film.

decided to buy it because i enjoy anything with ricky tomlinson as mike basset and this was one dvd i did not have

Absolutely brilliant film if you are an England supporter and remember the Brazil world cup you cannot fail to appreciate this film, even if you are not a football fan, you will still love it, one of the best films I have ever seen.

Ricky Tomlinson and friends having a ball in one of the funniest football films ever. The England manager's job is vacant but none of the FA candidates are interested in the post; step forward lower division dinosaur Mike Bassett (Tomlinson) who accepts the job and then dives in full of enthusiasm, pride and naivette. Its laughter from beginning to end, and as it's described as a comedy I give the makers 100% all round.

i bought this movies as it is absolutly hysterical,there is nothing that you can dislike about this movie,if only our football managers or todays premiership clubs had the mike bassett sense of humour ,an excellent movie!!
