Midnight Run (DVD 2000)

The entire film is centred on two charactors, one the professional bounty hunter called Jack Walsh, the other is Jonathan Mardukas a mobsters accountant who absconds with mob money. The bounty hunter played by Robert De Niro is an ex cop,highly suspicious of everyone,he plays it by the numbers in order to capture and return the accountant played by Charles Grodin.The Mardukas is wanted by the FBI to give evidence against the mob & the Mobsters want him to get their money back and to kill him . Jack finds Mardukas in NY and needs to expedite him back to LA in 3 days otherwise the bail bondsman looses $1,000,000. The journey is frustrated by Grodin's fobia of flying in a passenger aircraft, by the bail bondsman who asks another bounty hunter to get involved, the FBI & the mobsters dog their rail & road journey all the way. This is a highly entertaining & intelligently constructed film,constantly unpredictable. Do not forget it is classed for adult content- no sex but....
