Exellent system! seriously go out and buy one! the system is made up of the most up to date components and dont suffer from red rings or anyother problems that the orginal xbox's before 2008. I LOVE THE ELITE IS IT BLACK SO IT IS AS COOL AS THE OTHER SIDE OF THE PILLOW!!!

as you are probably aware the Xbox 360 is one of the current next gen consoles avaliable at the moment, there are 3 basic types;

Core Console (with 64MB Memory Card)
Premium (with 20GB HDD)
Elite (with 120GB HDD)

if you are not planning on playing online a core will suit you fine, they all do the same job the spec is identical between them the only diffrence are the extras,

you can pick up a core console with a few games for as little as £100.

games are relativly cheap as well most being avaliable for under £10

I PAID £245 FOR THIS XBOX FROM MADFLAKS LTD AND NEVER RECEIVED IT FILED A DISPUTE WITH PAY PAL THEY ONLY MANAGE TO RECOVER £150 LEAVING ME OUT OF POCKET OF £95 WHICH I AM STILL TRYING TO GET BACK AS TO SPENDING LARGE AMOUNT OF MONEY ON EBAY I WOULD NOT PUT MYSELF THROUGH THE HEADACKE AGAIN.

Purchased this item for my son. He has had such great enjoyment out of it. I have also enjoyed listening to him corresponding with other players via xbox live. What I dislike is that it has him up to all hours and his eyes are hanging out of him the next day. But it's the summer holidays, things will change in September

Great Buy, Good condition, Fairly cheap Amazing Console. Works fine :D Is an upgrade from the old Xbox original. I was surprised to find the cables came in the original packaging and the instruction book had not been opened!

Made purchase, Paid with credit card, then seller didn't come up with the goods.

Great great gaming console for the whole family to enjoy. Was exactly as described and better.

i personaly have just bought a 360 elite so i dont know what it was like compared to the rest of the xbox but i love it (PGR3) project gothem racing 3 is my firs game and i carnt stop playing it at first i found it chalenging but once i masterd the drifting it was all go from there i like the grafix i personaly think they are far better than ps3 or wii but thats just my opiniun so go visit friends and play all new consoles before you buy but i think you would all or most of you go for the xbox 360 elite

i thought i would buy this item as a fathers day present for my husband from our two little girls but sadly did not receive the item as expected when you pay for somthing really annoyed and upset.

I had apprehensions about buying the so called Falcon chip set as it has the 175W power suppy this is only because i had an original Premium console complete with cables.

As i was buying the unit itself with no cables or HD i had to source the rest myself, only thing i had to buy however is the 175W PSU Brick as the standard one dosent work with this model. My Premuim HD and other cables/controllers work in sync with the Elite system.

The Elite comes with HDMI port as standard and also accomodates the original graphic interface cable. The other ports on the back are exactly the same as the Premuim/Arcade consoles. i.e. USB x1 Ethernet x1 PSU input x 1 (although 175W which stands to reason will use up a lot less electricity therefor saving the world...not really)

The elite i bought was a replacement for my Premium console which has had RRoD (Red Ring of Death! Mwahahahah) several times and has cost me painstaking hours of work to repair.

The premium finally gave up the ghost as the DVD drive went on the blink soon after fixing the RRoD (Could be the towel method ; ) since overheating the console can i suppose also damage the other components.

In my opinion unclipping the fan inside to overheat the CPU/GPU chips is the way to go if you ever have to do it.

My intention is to keep the dead premium and buy a drive to flash at a later date i however needed a 360 to play on in the meantime so opted for the stylish black Elite console (note the Elite also comes with the shiny silver disk tray facia).

The elite is somewhat quieter...cooler and cooler ; ) the only gripe i have with it is the DVD drive it came with which is an unpopular model but the one in my console seems to be working fine...for now it even plays my COD4 Disk which has a huge crack in it...o.O yeah iuno either. The crack was the result in having a samsung/hitachi drive in my premium...they like to eat disks.

Not much more to say about the elite falcon chip set it just does the same job as the other consoles yet i dont think ill have the same problem with overheating as its supposed to be fixed with this chipset?

As i got my elite for £205 on an auction i think it is an absolute bargain for such a great spec. Love the picture quality it gives, love the menus love xbox live. Its just a really great piece of kit, especially given the price i got it for!!

You wont be disappointed!!

This was a 13th birthday purchase and it's a great buy. It's easy to use and the additional items included in the purchase were excellent. Although sold as a used item it was in immaculate condition and like brand new. Definitely worth searching on eBAy than dashing out and paying full price.
