Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite (120 GB) Console

The main reasons for buying this console over others, while already being an xbox customer, is the new jasper chipset and reduced voltage to, hopefully, reduce the probability of the dreaded red rings of death and e74 error that I myself have fallen victim too. The console being an elite means it looks amazing and fits into any room well, while still retaining all those amazing features of the xbox 360 and its vast back collection of games. So for any gamer who doesn't want to be constantly getting there console fixed and wants to enjoy high quality games, this is the console for you!

I just wanted to share my experience with the XBOX 360. I used to have the old xbox and going for the new one I went straight for the XBOX 360 elite with the 120gb and improved chipset after seeing so many broken white 360's on ebay for spares and repair. I unpacked it all and set it up - its very easy to do but you will need to connect it to the internet to update itself to the latest software. Even though the Elite package is the best you can buy I was annoyed that you still have to buy extras such as a second controller and a wireless adapter (and these are not cheap either). You can connect to the internet wired by using the included network cable BUT if you want to play online you then have to buy a xbox live membership - more money!! So if you think everything is in the box and ready to go you're mistaken. Even though the Elite is the new more reliable chipset they are still prone to overheating which then causes the motherboard to warp and this is what causes the 360's to crash and get errors. To stop this happening I bought a clip on external fan unit (yet another cost). Its a shame Microsoft havent improved the cooling system if heat is such a problem and built in wireless would be a massive bonus (like other consoles now have). You can play most original xbox games on the 360 - it will update itself before you play it first time. You cant play the original xbox games over xbox live on te 360 - only local play. Overall an OK console but the constant spending on extras is annoying and you cant help like you are being fleeced for every penny.

Good package, came with two controllers and some good games for a good price. looked in good condition, set it up straight away and everything is working fine. very impressed with the item. the pictures were good and we got to see everything we needed to.

Brilliant product, Abit slow because its had the RROD fix but its working absolutely fine! I have been runnin it for over 8 hours straight and not one crash ever since. I dont use it very often but it lives up to the name "The Ferrari Of Entertainment". Its a very good product! Im happy & very satisfied. This is my 2nd one since i first bought a Xbox 360 in 2007 & i feel the xbox 360 elites manufactured in 2007 are alot better than the newer ones!

THe Xbox 360 is by far the best games console on the market at present. The issues regarding faults, more specifically (RROD) Red Ring Of Death is easily solved for free by logging the faults with Microsoft and returning the console free of charge to their facility in Germany. In 10 days the console is returned as good as new, if not new without hassel so don't let this put you off buying one.
Graphically it is excellent and the Online Gaming through Xbox Live is a must, which at £35 per year I think at present is worth paying. The current HD wide screen TV's really show off the graphics with detail down to the individual blades of grass. The boyant second hand games market also means that games can be picked up at cheap prices, just check ebay!

These people are theives..the itenm which i paid £191 for was never posted, after being persuaded to close the dispute on paypal, i never received the refund i was promised.
