Definitely a great romantic comedy, Mickey Blue Eyes, brings to the screen the story of an Englishman working at an auction house in NYC who proposes to his girlfriend of three months only to find out that her family is part of the mob. Things become a bit more complicated when he believes that he can handle the situation...
Hugh Grant, Jeanne Tripplehorn, James Caan, and the rest of the cast, have outdone themselves with their performances, which are exceptional to say the least. All the actors, without exceptions, give it their 100% and it really shows! Very well written and very well presented, the movie is without a doubt guaranteed to provide more than just a few laughs, not to mention a few tears.
The setting, the plot, the dialogues, the humour, and the music are all wonderful!
In short, Mickey Blue Eyes is a movie worth watching and even though it is not quite as good as Nine Months or Notting Hill, it is definitely a keeper!

This is a film for every family collection. Impossible circumstances find Mickey dealing with mobsters in Hugh's inimitable perfect English gentlemanly way. A lot of laughs, a touch of pathos and some pretty good acting. A happy ending makes for a satisfying and calm conclusion to this highly recommended film.

) Excellent comedy, great for Saturday night entertainment. I am a huge fan of Hugh Grant and this dvd was recommended to me. I intend to keep the dvd for future viewing as required.

i watched this film on tv thought it would be pooh as nothing else on but it really made me laugh in fact i enjoyed it so much thats why i brought it off ebay xall ill say is it dont hurt to watch something once and am sure everyone will like this too x

) FOR GET ABOUT, Hugh Grant same o same romantic comedy about the mob,it is quite funny in parts but Hugh Grant please act different for god sake man he is classed as one of England greatest exports, why you may ask i don't know the answer to that, James Cane is great and check out Burt Young ie; paulie from the Rocky films he plays a good part to, but on a positive side it is a good family film YEAY RIGHT IF YOU LIVE IN THE BRONX.
