It seems odd for the guitarist extraordinaire of UFO, The Scorpions and his own MSG to be releasing albums like this. I can only assume that his much publicised personal problems have waylaid his desire to create original music. There are some exceptional performances here, but too often the guitar work is undistinguished. Bob Kulick has done a good job producing a variable lot of musicians, and when it sparkles, it’s well worth it. Now, what we want is some new material with Paul Di’Anno on vocals!
Apparently, work is progressing on the 25 Years MSG Celebration CD, featuring all new songs, all new performances and all new recordings. 5 songs have already been mixed and there will be a total of 19 songs on the CDJari Tiura, Robin McAuley and Kelly Keeling have already done their vocals. Leif Sundin and Chris Logan are next to record there Vocals. Graham Bonnet and Gary Barden have completed their vocals.
Until then, dip into this, pick out the good ones, retreat and enjoy
