Michael Evans - Fly-Casting For Beginners (DVD)

Informative and well presented. Michael adds that something extra that other instructional DVD's only play at.
I would recommend this DVD very highly.

Whether you are a beginner or expert this DVD explains in simplistic terms how to begin or improve your fly casting style or technique. Certainly cheaper than taking flycasting lessons.

i brought this dvd as i am starting out with fly fishing and didn't no a thing so i thought this would help to have a little knowledge before giving it a go. This dvd was ok, wish it had more info on it and wish it had gone on for longer and into a little more detail.

Mr Evans has an oldie worldy style that takes you a bit aback to start with. Once you've got over that, his explanation and the DVD footage actually explain things in a way that is easy to follow - I struggled to get it right, but knew from what had been said where I was going wrong each time - crack that fly line!! Little short at 40mins or it would have been an excellent. I feel having watched it and with practice I can actually cast a fly without needing any other aid. Can't say fairer than that really.

I've been interested in fly fishing for a while and when i came across this dvd i thought i'd see what its like, after all its quite a bargain! I thought it would be like any other learning programme where you sometimes get lost half way through, but this one is excellent! He goes over everything a couple of times to make sure your taking it all in, he shows what your best starting off equipment should be and explains the art of fly fishing in a simple way. I've always looked at others and thought "how do they do it", but after watching this programme, it now doesn't look as hard as what it did, i am not saying i can now fly fish, but i do have a bit more knowledge to start off, so i definitely would recommend this dvd to anyone who is interested in learning to fly fish.

As a total novice I found the explanations and visuals concise and clear. Within 2 or 3 attempts I was able to make a fair stab at casting - something I did not expect so quickly. With practice I am confident,that as long as I stick to the guidelines, my casting will reach a reasonable standard thanks to this DVD.

this dvd is a must for anyone who is starting fly fishing and starts you in the right direction before any bad habits start.it is also very simply exsplained and demonstraited and easy to follow an excellant dvd i am very pleased 10 out of 10
