Merlin Vol.1 (DVD)

This is a gem from the BBC. Set in the fictional world of Camelot the BBC have brought to life the fable of Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table - but here the focus is on the interaction of the young Arthur and his servant Merlin (who is just gaining his magical powers). Adults and children a like will enjoy the stories with fantastic acting from the likes of Richard Wilson, John Hurt and Michelle Ryan. The characters are all believable with a superb soundtrack. My son would watch it every day if allowed. There are the first 7 episodes in this volume on 3 discs. The remaining episodes can be found in vol 2

I bought the DVD because I enjoyed the series on BBC, there were one or two episodes that I missed so that was another reason to buy, the storylines have been changed from the regular portrayal of Camelot, Merlin and Arthur and this makes it refreshing, there are some good performances from the cast and all in all I prefer this programme to the BBC`s "Robin Hood".
