Description
In 'Bombay Talkie' an American writer visits India for inspiration where she becomes involved with a Bollywood movie star. 'The Courtesans Of Bombay' is a docu-drama which looks at a compound in Bombay where poor women sing, dance and engage in prostitution. 'The Deceivers' tells of a secret cult in India in 1825 and the efforts of an Englishman who decides to infiltrate the cult to eliminate it. 'Heat And Dust' is the story of two English women and their fatal fascination for a continent where the lust for power, violence and passion overshadows the facade of British respectability. 'In Custody' is a drama based on the novel by Anita Desai which follows Deven, a teacher at an Indian college and his attempt to interview a famous poet. 'Shakespeare Wallah' tells of a love triangle between a member of a troupe of English travelling actors, an Indian playboy and a temperamental Indian film star.
