Medion PNA 205 Car GPS Receiver

Been considering a sat-nav for a while but could not justify spending hundreds of pounds on something I would only use occasionally. The Medion PNA ticks my boxes because it is inexpensive and very good value for money.
No fancy add ons like mp3 player but if I wanted an mp3 I would buy one.
Used it a couple of times, it is very easy to set up and use and has taken me to my destination with no problems. Clear instructions given with a pleasant voice.
Screen a little small but that's just being picky.
Overall good value.

it does all it is suppose to do and give you speed camera positions but needs updating every year which could cost you up to £60 a time

LIKE ABOUT IT -Nice looking sat nav, good size. Price was a strong factor in purchasing it and service was great, very quick delivery and well packaged.

DISLIKE ABOUT IT - Well basically very poor reception. Just will not pick up a signal. Had to go out and purchase one from a shop for alot more money but IT WORKS!!!

I like the simplicity of being able to put directions into the device. I think that the battery lifespan is short, really needs plugged into mains for best use. Great product would recommend to anyone.

Where do I start,the price was great,the item like new,and it works as well as any sat nav I have seen,or used.

This GPS is good for beginner. Can bring you to most of the places. There are some new routes on the map. I don't know if I can update the GPS or not and how much will it cost. It is cheaper compare to other brand of GPS.

Cannot transfer data between internal memory and SD card. Unless you have a card reader or a computer that has a card slot...buy another sat nav. The software (Active sync) uploads ok but my medion sat nav still wont link with my laptop. (This may be user error but, in any case, it's not at all user friendly!) The factory loaded maps are out of date and due to the previous mentioned prodlems, updating them are also an issue. The manual has been translated from a foriegn language.....and badly. The information it provides is less than useless. It takes 4 x AA batteries. I use rechargables. The unit does not charge the batteries while plugged into the mains. However, it does not use the batteries while plugged into either the mains or car.

In summary, if you want a cheap sat nav, give your missus a 2005 street directory, ask her to travel with you everywhere and give you directions....YOU WILL ARGUE WITH HER LESS THAN WITH THIS STUPID PIECE OF KIT!!!
