this album is excellent, slow jam to listen when your with your partner. me and my partner has always wanted this album and its amazing to find it on ebay. maxwell is one of my favourite artist and i've always collected his albums from day one. so it's a pleasure to obtain this one.

One of my greatest albums every to have owned, so when it was stolen from my car i had to replace it.

THIS IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST R 'N' B ALBUMS I HAVE EVER HEARD.WITH THE FANTASTIC FUNKY BASS AND MAXWELLS SILKY VOICE,IT IS PROBABLY HIS BEST WORK.IN MY HUMBLE OPINION,HE SHOULD BE A MEGASTAR.YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED IF YOU BOUGHT THIS ALBUM.EVERY TRACK IS BRILLIANT.

I wanted this album because my dad had it but it had gotten stolen from our car at the time, it reminds me of him and is funky, mellow easy listening! - listen to saamples on amazon and if you like that type of music you will love this album! xxx

One of the best soul cd's ever! As a debut albulm, it is truly remarkable. I have advised numerous friends to purchase this cd over the years: offering to buy it back from them if they were dissatisfied. No one has asked me for their money back. If you like Marvin Gaye or Sade, you'll LOVE Maxwell. Once more, he is a gifted performer that I've seen no less than four times.

I heard this album some time ago in Panacea Manchester and bought it very shortly after. The crowd loved the upbeat stuff .Its really mellow with a groove to it. Perfect if your trying to charm your lady. Its relaxed and the last track finishes and goes dead for 10 + minutes, considerably later hopefully after its all gone on !

Best album I have heard in a long time !!!!!!!Bought this one on a spur of the moment thing because I adore a track called "Let's Not Play The Game" by Maxwell which appears on the sound track of "The Best Man". While that track does not appear on this disc it is never the less an excellent album. From the opening instrumental (soaring saxophones complete with fake record like snap, crackle and pop) to the extra long final track (13 minutes) this is a first class R&B album. I own nearly 600 albums and this is in my top 10. Highly recommended.
