The Matrix - The Ultimate Matrix Collection (DVD 2004)

I decided to buy The Matrix Ultimate Collection because I have always been a matrix fan, and didn't have any of the films on DVD. I also wanted to have the Animatrix, which is included in this set.

This box-set is beautifully presented, with shiney green 'matrix' pattern on the outer case, and various matrix art work on the inner cases and sleaves. There is also an exceptional amount of behind the scenes and production footage, which will be of interest to anyone who wonders 'how did they do that?' or, like me, has an interest in backstage and production techniques.

The set contains 10 disks. 1 disk for each of the 3 movies, a further disk with each movie with production etc. footage relevant to that film, 1 disk for the 'animatrix', and a further 3 disks containing special features, interviews with the directors etc.

I would reccommend this set to any hard-core Matrix fans.

this is a definitive collection no matrix enthusiast should be without. every little detail is examined and discussed from begginning to end. theres over 35 hours of viewing here so iff u have a spare weekend then this will fill it.

the only trouble i have with extras on d.v d,s is that when you see how they achieve their effects and all the other things,it strips away some of the magic somewhat,but saying that this dvd set has set a standard which others would struggle to achieve or match , enjoy !!!

good item but all in english no french subtitles so i cant watch it, even if the seller told me it was french language, it's not.

This is well worth a buy - 10 discs including philosophical commentaries, featurettes, the animated series, interviews and artwork. It helps you to understand the roots of the film and the baffling questions that underpin it: do we have free will? What is the difference between reality and sensory experience?

This box set is amazing. it has everything that you ever need from the matrix trilogy including the animatrix. the film was one of my personal all time favourites even though the 2nd and 3rd film failed to live up to the hype. it was still one of the most animated and surreal films that i've seen. Well worth the buy.

this really is a must have collection, with loads of extras and stunning visuals the matrix world is really brought to life in HD

considering that the item had already been used the condition was amazing. It came in good time and i really liked the item.

Why just buy the film when you could have the films and so very much more. This set is excellent; covered every single detail of the films and from every angle. The box looks great, you cant fault the selection of info and detail is astonishing. I just wish all sets were as good.

Decent boxset, every Matrix dvd released in 1 nice looking box with every extra you could think of including commentarys. 5/5 for the extras.

Bought as a Christmas present for my son who thinks it's great as has everything Matrix-related in one package. Great value - both for money and entertainment. Highly recommended for any Matrix fan.
