Marvin Gaye - The Best Of Marvin Gaye (CD 1994)

This is just an excellent best of collection!!! There are so many songs that you didnt realise he had done or had a hand in.... aswell as the biggies such as Grapevine and Whats going on.... well worth a few quid for many hours of lyrical enjoyment!!

This is a great album, full of the best of a truly great artist, including many duets and solo work. This album never fails to cheer me up and is great to sing along to.

This is a very good compilation of Marvins older and later tracks. It has a nice mix of some very familiar tracks but nothing from the excellent I Want You album which is an album for connoisuers, ah well! it's hard to find a compilation that has it all. It does include tracks from the legendary and ground breaking Whats Going On album (including the very wonderful and socially concious Whats Going On and Mercy Mercy Me) and the later Got to Give It Up which you dont hear very often. All in all a very good album for playing on an easy Sunday afternoon or when you're chillin' with friends and sharing a bottle. Recommended !

I had this album many years ago it was stolen and have now manged to finally buy a new one, and it is as good, if not better than I remember...A real easy listening album, each song a classic in its own right...

Anyone claiming to be a music lover, should have this in their collection age and race irrelevent.

A must have.

all the great songs are here. this will bring back loads of memories. a great cd to chill out to. this guy is a true legend. you will not be disappointed with these great classics....a 5***** item from a great soul legent. very highly recommended.

Loved the style of his music and his duets with Tammy Terrell are fantastic.

His voice is timeless - and there has been no-one like him since. I bought it
cos there were so many tracks I wanted to hear , all on one CD.

For me
marvin Gaye cd brought back such great memories from when i was at school and when i used to go dancing to the soul nights at my youth club (such a pity kids of today dont do the same gig).
For me Atlantic soul northern soul is music for any mood.
