) Well being a Depeche Mode fan i obviously bought this album when it was originally released all those years ago, unfortunately though it was on tape. It is only now that i have finally got round to buying this album again on CD and how i could have left it for so long i don't know. I had forgotten how great it truly is. I know that people may feel that they are being robbed buying an album with only six songs, but these songs really are something else. With having such a talented musican as Martin Gore in control of choosing, remixing and singing the wonderful lyrics of these songs you really can't go wrong. Listening to this CD i feel will take you to a different place, a place where you can escape to when required. Overall this is a dreamy chill out little gem of an album, so if you fancy something different then this ablum is definately for you.

DEPECHE MODE S MARTIN FIRST SOLO ALBUM.COUNTERFEIT VOL 1 WAS THE FIRST SOLO ALBUM DY DEPECHE MODE S SONG WRITER MARTIN L GORE. THIS ALBUM INCLUDES SOME OF MARTIN S FAVOURITES FROM THE PAST. SONGS LIKE NEVER TURN YOUR BACK ON MOTHER EARTH AND GONE ARE VERY GOOD AND WHAT ABOUT THE BASSLINE ON MOTHERLESS CHILD. THERE S NOTHING IN THIS ALBUM THAT IS NOT SPLENDID.
MUSICALLY AND THE SPLENDID VOICE OF MARTIN.THIS LEAVES NO DOUPT THAT MARTIN WAS RESPONSABLE FOR DEPECHE MODE S MUSIC AS FROM THE BIGINNING. AS A DM FAN I COULDN T NOT LEAVE THIS ALBUM OUT FROM MY COLLECTIONS.I RECOMAND IT .
