Marley And Me (DVD)

i found this film to be ok,but not as good as expected,started of fantastic and funny but then got slow and bit long winded.thought would have been more funny was disapointed with this movie.The ending of the film you will need quite a big box off tissues as it is very very sad. ( hope this review helped )

An excellent tear jerker with a fair share of happy moments and would suggest a sequel letting us know how Jenny and John Grogan lived the rest of their lives without Marley. Well cast - can't think of any other actors who would have brought this story to life as well as Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson.

GREAT FAMILY FILM WITH A GREAT STORYLINE BUT WITH A SAD ENDING.THE KIDS WILL LOVE IT BUT HAVE PLENTY OF TISSUES FOR THE ENDING!!!....

This is yet another great film. The stars are great, and i definitly agree with animals being huge stars too, if they dont mind! x

I absolutely loved the movie, it made me cry. I could watch it again and again and i would totally recommend it to others.

Bought for wife as she loved the book. She was dissapointed at how the story tranferred to the screen. Felt there were important aspects of the story missing in the film.

i think its a really good film which is funny but also sad. there wasnt anything i could say i disliked about it. the reason why i brought is because it was for my sisters birthday and she enjoys films like this.

Very good film, very funny in places but watch out for awkward questions about where babies come from if you're watching with young children! Also get the tissues ready, bit of a tear jerky towards the end!

Great film good for normal folks, animal lovers might not like it has a sad ending,Worth a watch If you love dogs you will love it and hate it,but understand,Thats my life put them first,Mans best friend.

i really enjoyed this DVD But i was very disapointed at the end when Marley dies and closes his eyes, this for me spoilt it a bit as i am a veterinary nurse and know from experience that dogs and cats do not close their eyes when they die. This is a problem we get in our line of work where owners expect their animal to "go to sleep" closing their eyes. realism is needed in films like these to show owners the real life insight to what would happen come the time they ever have to make the same decition with their own pet. Any way other than that yes it was a good film and i did enjoy watching it. I would recomend viewing this.

I bought this film to watch with my grandchildren and I thought it was lovely. I understand the story to be true, it is very well acted and I will probably watch it over and over again even though it does make me cry at the end. A nice film to watch with the family.

I absolutely loved this film. it's a really nice family movie. it's got the weepie bits, absolutely hilarious bits. just well worth watching really, really funny. x

I sat down to watch Marley & Me last night, having high expectations because I had read the book and enjoyed it, and I wasnt disappointed! Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston portray John and Jenny Grogan in a brilliant, funny and, at times, a touching way.

I was glued to the screen as I watched the hilarious havoc created by Marley, a golden lab full of energy. However, don't be put off thinking that you have to be a dog lover to enjoy this movie! It is a great family dramedy film that I would recommend for everyone.

However, be warned, you will need a box of tissues ready for the end!

I had seen the clips on the TV and they were funny and looked like my kind of film. It wasnt what i was expecting but i realy enjoyed the film and would watch it over and over again.

it was a good film but not one i would keep watching that is some dog funny but annoying more of a kids movie bought it for my son for his birthday

Bought as a birthday present for my daughter although it was sad ending.

Decided to but on Ebay as it was cheaper than anywhere else.

I had already read the book and looked forward to the film. If there was any drawback it was that the film sets out everything for you whereas the book leaves everything to the imagination. Ideally see the film first then read the book, either way you will not be disappointed in either,

Decided to buy it as I like Jennifer Aniston in Friends and love dogs. Was totally disappointed with both. Not nearly enough puppy and dog stuff - indeed, the TV promotional advance clips showed the rare one or two mildly funny scenes - Jennifers acting was almost as wooden as the lead man - don't know his name. From the title I assumed Marley would be figured in the whole thing but it was a much about the careers and babies (yuk) of the couple. I sat bored through most of it but when they showed Marley getting old and dying I had to walk out. Some comedy? Not. Total waste of time and money, utter dross. Would not recommend. Have put out for charity bag.
